A Barbara Gordon Batgirl movie- a female lead with 'Bat' (the Warner cash cow) in the title- could be bigger than Hunger Games or even Wonder Woman.

To be the person who already successfully supplies intelligence and technological support to multiple heroes like Katana, at such levels and capacities that even the Dark Knight and Penny One can't match her. All while still being fully capable of kicking ninja-ass while in a wheelchair.

Also to be the more mature (and better) upgrade of Barbara Gordon.

Okay, sorry, now that my knee jerk reaction is down, I would like to put the more rational view I have of Babs, Oracle, and Batgirl down:

I actually would love to see Barbara Gordon in the Batgirl suit and identity, but I don't want any scaled back "junior varsity" Batgirl while Nightwing is already a "varsity" vigilante gone solo. I also don't want anything like The Killing Joke to have happened without having the badass refusal-to-let-any-injuries-keep-her-down journey of Oracle. With Oracle, Babs proved that she would actually get stronger, scarier, and more effective as a crime fighter than she was as Batgirl her first time around, and was an awesome representation of handicapped peopl in media.

If we get Batgirl, I want a Batgirl who can do all the things that Oracle could do faster than Batman. If we get a Barbara Gordon Batgirl who was a Joker victim, than I want her to be past that so hard that we don't have any room for this:

Again, I'm fine with Batgirl, but don't try and limit or regress the character just because the Silver Age was back when comics were still in grocery stores.

Good catch. Though Batman had quite a similar if not exactly the same batsymbol as well, so it could be a nod to it.
