Jessica Alba For Catwoman Thread

I don't think it's too early to introduce her in a Batman sequel. It's certainly too early for a second attempt at a stand alone move, but not an appearance in a Batman sequel. If there aren't any A-List actor's who aren't afraid of it damaging their careers like it did Halle Berry's, then I'd have no problem with a lesser-known "fresh" actress in the role. I'm sure if Nolan and crew want Catwoman in one if their movies, they will be able to get the actress they want for the role.

An Agent is more likely to look at Batman Begins' BO numbers and say "Go for it!" than they are to say "Look at CINO and how it wrecked Halle's carreer". To them, it wouldn't be about the character, but the movie she's in. Everyone knows that Batman 2 is gonna be a big hit, and that's what's important to an agent. Not wether or not the character the actress would be playing might have a "soiled reputation".

That's true. I would like to see her introduced to Batman, and personally, I think it would work. I just wonder how the general public will react when they see that Catwoman's origin changes yet again, and is played by someone differently than Halle Berry. I think it would work as well. I just wonder about the general public who isn't as well indoctrinated into the Comic Arts as we are. CINO did a lot to really hurt the character with the mainstream public. I don't know what was going on in WB's heads when they released the film.

I think Alba would make a good Catwoman... I see her coming off as more playful and less raw-seductive, which isn't quite dark enough for the BB series... and while it may take a couple years for Catwoman to be forgotten it won't take TEN or TWENTY... just a few...

But, in the end, as much as I love Alba's performances, there are a few other actresses who I'd rather see in the role of Catwoman...

Of course, there's still the factor that Alba could pull out all the stops for the role and knock it out of the water...

Thats what im saying, she just needs the chance to play serious, dark, hostile, and emotional. Thats what you need to bring a bad-ass Catwoman to the screen. In terms of look, like I said I'm working on an illustration of her in a Catwoman suit right now. I should be done in a few days. Maybe I'll even draw her as Selina too, just to see.

Exactly, she's a horrible choice for this role. A role needs someone cat-like and have a beautiful, curvy body of a woman.

Jessica is hot beyond hot. She's undeniably one of the most physically appealing actresses in the world today.

But she can not act. I'm sorry. She was decent enough in Sin City because she was surrounded by hordes of talent, but in anything else I've seen I cringe whenever she tries to display emotion.

i see women lookin like her all the time here in S.D. so i think Alba is not big deal.....tons of women with her looks everywhere. I really don't think she is anything special.....

I've not seen much of Alba's work, but I really gotta ask, where is it written that she's the only person qualified for female comic book roles? She's already been in both Sin City and Fantastic 4, so why does she need to play Catwoman too? She's already gotten more than enough chances in the genre, so I say give someone else a chance.

If internet fanboys had their way, there'd only be maybe 10 employed actors in the entire industry.

I was never a fan of Sue Storms, so her ruining of her character in the F4 movie didn't bother me. But, I am a fan of Catwomans, and I would prefer a better actress to take the role of her in a Batman sequel. She's not bad for some roles, but a Catwoman she is not.

I only see Charlize Theron or Angelina Jolie as Selina. But there won't be a Catwoman in Batman 2. The memory of CINO is still fresh in the public's eyes. I think We'll see Joker played by Dafoe or Two-face in the next movie.
