Exactly, she's a horrible choice for this role. A role needs someone cat-like and have a beautiful, curvy body of a woman.

As for the concept...nah. I think the current Darwin Cooke costume would work best for Catwoman--sleek, sexy, and practical.

Oh, please. All she does is monotone in a fake British accent. The only movies she's moderately good in is where she gets naked in them. I'm serious, check most of her more critically acclaimed movies, and most of them have at least ONE shot of her naked. That's why I like to call her "the Hollywood porn star."

oscar and golden globes are far from being proof of quality. if it was, Roberto Benigni wouldn't have beaten Edward Norton and Titanic could be considered the best movie of all time...

okay, Beckinsale or Theron would be great, but Michelle Rodriguez?! come on, Selina's supposed to be sexy and Rodriguez is anything but! the woman looks like roadkill!

Ok, lets not let this turn into a beautiful versus ugly argument. Let this merely be about who can bring the character to the proper life she deserves. And about Michelle Rodriguez, easy with what you say there man. Your talking about my dream girl there.

With her joining a big show like Lost this year I doubt she'd have that much time for movies & unless a movie Studio can really get Catwoman RIGHT & follow the Comics RIGHT. Movie Studios should wait a few years or so before another Catwoman.

Thats very true. Now the thing I really find interesting is how long it takes for studios to get something right. For this I will bring in Batman. Its taken sixty years for the owners of the property to get it right. However the character really hasnt been the same since the late fifties and sixties. Those two decades really screwed the character up, and he's never really recovered. During that time he was turned into a disgrace of the original character. I still await the day when the character goes back to being who he truly is; Dark, A Loner i.e. absolutely no sidekicks or allies, and actually scary. No one fears Batman anymore. Just goes to show that the character still hasn't recovered. The same is true with Catwoman; the character in film has never been what she is in the comics. Hopefully one day she will be.

She failed at Tomb Raider trying to turn Lara goth, she would probably turn Selina into a psycotic man killer who likes leather a bit too much...then again compaired to Halle....

erm yah...I've played Tomb Raider since it came out.
Jolie was far too "daddy daddy"

Jessica Alba was fine as Nancy Callahan and Sue Storm. Her as Selina Kyle/Catwoman wouldn't work for me. There are many struggling actresses out there than deserve a chance.

I read about a fan film and saw pictures of Catwoman from that film, and I think the actress that played should be given a chance to shine more. It got great reviews, and she was praised for her role in the 5 minute film and was really comfortable playing the part from what I read. Her name is Amber Moelter, and the name of the fan film is 'Catwoman: Copycat'. It's listed on IMDB. I think it would work. I don't know, what do ya think?
