A fifth pirates of the Carribean film is like the unwanted guest at your party who won't leave.
But the 2003 version is superiorHook is a great movie. It's also a polarizing film depending on what generation you're from. Ove noticed that Gen-Xers and above loathe the film while Gen Ys like myself like it; or think its harmless enough not to hate.
The score is amazing, Hoffman is grand and the production value is fantastic.
I don't get it? Why no Hook?![]()
I want a faithful adaption of the book/play someday![]()
I also really enjoyed the movie Hook. But I know that I am in the minority.
Really? I don't think I know a single person who doesn't love Hook!
Completely agree, especially on your description on the 4th one. It feels so low budget and like everyone is just killing time until the finale comes.Thank you. The fourth one was so forgettable. Litterly the cast was walking around in circles in the jungle, doing nothing. I felt how low budget as the movie dragged into the 2nd act.
The worst offender was the dreary digtial cinematography. The past three movies even, even if the 2nd and 3rd ones had faults, were beautiful to look at.
Sure but I think Hook is unappreciated gem with heart.
They're both sequels to the original story instead of adaptations, is that not true?Did you just compare Hook and Burton's Wonderland? That is so odd.
Hook feels nothing like the original Disney film to me. Alice does a tiny bit, but the general look and idea gives more credence to it being in continuity. They're both sequels to the original story instead of adaptations, is that not true?
I am 18, i watched it recently. A lot of things i found anoying, and i didn't like Peter Pan going to Neverland as still a baby, he needed to have tasted a little of childhood before deciding not to grow up, and i thought neverland Basically stopped time, so if a baby went there he would stay a baby while there.
Though i enjoyed the rest of the film, i can see why Spielberg sometimes expresses disapointment with it, but i felt like it had a lot of heart. That one and Burton's Wonderland also seem to me like they could have easily been in continuity with the Disney classics, though that was probably not the intention.
Wonderland came out how many years ago? How is it nostalgia? Twilight isn't nostalgia either. And another thing with both is that Alice actually has a better rating than Hook, with 50% against Hook's 40%. While Hook is loved by people from its generation, Alice is also loved by most girls from this generation.
It's Basically nostalgia vs nostalgia
