The first film feels so quaint now compared to the total chaos of what the franchise turned into. Still a lot of fun though and there is always something the first holds over any sequel in just being the first.

Haha, it has got more and more complex with characters all over the place. The first one will always be the most straightforward, although I do like the chaos.

It does, but it's still got nothing on how chaotic the Fast and Furious franchise got from starting out as illegal street racing/stealing DVD players in the original movie.

The second film is usually considered the runt of the litter it seems in the franchise but damn if isnt a huge slice of fun action and world building of the franchise, there's a lot of stand out moments and the thrid act is much better than the originals IMO. The ending is a great cliff hanger as well that sets up the third nicely.

I knew they'd be hyped reactions given how early they lifted the embargo. I texted my brother right after learning about that embargo lift about a week or so ago just saying we got a new EPIC action classic incoming, I can feel it.
