From what I've seen on Revelations, He's a pretty damn good actor.

I don't think the importance of a actor being funny or not should be taken much into account when it comes to casting the Joker. The fact that character can play a evil, intelligent, murderious pyscopath is what should be looked at. The Joker is not suppose to be funny per-say, he is more crazy. I've seen Steve Carrell and I don't think he could play the Joker for that reason, he is funny though.

If Carell had a little more real acting, other than the Daily Show, I would give him a Thumbs Up. But he doesn't. The man is very funny, but not really a great choice right now. Maybe with more acting, but until then. There are still alot more viable candidates.
