5. Matthew Lillard (Scream)
Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Primarily, the guy has done stupid comedies. However, Lillard is a much better actor than he's given credit for. He carried the underrated SLC Punk!, saved Wicker Park from being a total waste of time, and played a convincing whacko in Scream. He was classically trained and really puts his everything into whatever role he takes. He's tall, lanky, creepy, has an evil smile, and is the right age...

Brian2887 said:Wouldn't it be interesting...? - Dane Cook (Waiting)
Dane Cook is one of the wildest, craziest, most off-the-wall stand-up comedians in the business. He's young, tall, lanky, crazy, and has quite a fan following. Often, comedians are excellent dramatic actors, and I'd love to see Dane given a crack at this kind of role. I think his energy alone should earn him a screen test to see how he could handle playing the Joker. However, since he's never had such a role, I don't know if he could pull it off. It would be interesting, though.

He could hit the Joker from all angles. He's tall, he's lanky, he's funny, (which is one element of Joker that I don't think some of the rumored contenders can do), yet he can be serious. He has a certaiin playfulness that would work well as the Clown Prince of Crime. I may have a new favorite.
