When watching BB again and realising that Joker is already Joker, I wonder what he was doing during the events of BB. Joker would have loved the choas of Gotham and deffo would have taken advantage of the situation obviously which is why he has already commited bank robberies and homicides. I wish we could have seen that in BB but would fit in context of the movie. Also would the fear gas have affected Joker?

Joker is immune to fear gas in the comics. Scarecrow sprayed him with it in the Knightfall storyline, and he just laughed it off.

Ah yes I remember. I never knew if it was some kind of gag or what. Why could he be immune?

How long after they stop RA's is the roof scene meant to take place ? b/c i was always under the impression that it was a few weeks later and the Joker was possibly born out of the gas outbreak as one of the Arkham escapees roaming the narrows.

Becuase, if I remember correctly, he experiments on himself with all kinds of toxins and such. Trying to build up an immunity.

Plus, his mind if ****ed up. And Scarecrow's gas affects the mind.

He's so demented that nothing disturbs him.

"Not bad, Crow. What other flavors you got??"

Which means any antidotes Batman comes up with to use on Joker is redundant.

I assumed it was anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

same here. that would make sense, he could have been "red hood" or another mobster, then when the gas is released he gets immune to it and turns into joker

I had wondered the same thing about the joker during BB. I also wondered where was and what was the penguin doing during the events of Batman,89.(I know the latter was off subject).

He was probably either dwelling in his Arctic World lair at the old Gotham Zoo, or still in the Red Triangle circus.

I always figured it to be a few weeks after at least too.

The Joker I thought wasn't really a casualty of the fear gas although he could have been one of the escapees from Arkham. I figure he wasn't the Joker yet but started to use that card around that time. Then when Batman started up & rid the city of Falcone, he became more & more like the Joker we know (escalation) & became greedy in trying to overtake Gotham.

^^ Seems ok to me. I dont think Joker was in Arkum when every1 else escaped.

Doesn't he also say something to the effect of "You don't scare me.......I'm already crazy!"?

Because he's not afraid of anything. The nature of his insanity is that he sees everything as a big preformance and does everything based purely on whims, including completely changing his personality like an actor changes roles. He's got a very limited sense of reality, and completly reinvents himself whenever he gets bored. He's got no genuine fears, because he has no genuine personality to begin with.

My thinking is that he was busy preparing the tools he needs to start his crime wave as The Joker.

why hasnt this thread been merged with the stickied joker thread?

If the Joker had been in Arkham, Gordon would have known he was responsible for those two homicides he tells Batman about at the end of BB.
