I think it's this obsession with Nolan's use of the word "realism". For some reason these so-called fans seem to think they need to change things to the point of unrecognizablity to satsify some vague sense of absolute realism. Something that is totally IMPOSSIBLE in a Batman movie. Batman is a realistic fantasy, but a fantasy, nonetheless. They are carrying this realism aspect to a ridiculous degree, one that Nolan himself doesn't intend.
