Here's a new one that I just finished up.

Fenian Girl and Oathbound - The force field was the big challenge on this one. It was hard to get it to look substantive, while not overpowering the characters. The bullets, if you can call them that, were easier than I expected. /shrug

Here's my most recent one - inspired by some very good art I've seen of late.

Alpha vs Tormentia - I've been digging pieces of art with strong contrasts of late, so I thought I'd try my hand at it. Not quite as punchy as I would have liked, but not too bad.

Thornster and Feral Kat are both chracters that I've drawn before. Maybe because of that, I took a bit of a 'risk' with this one. I say risk, because I rarely do heavy blacks in any of my pieces. This one, was more of an exercise in gaining confidence with getting dark. I think it turned out ok, but I'm still a little gun-shy with it. (click for larger view)

Black Cat - Nouveau This is for a challenge over on the PJ forums - I was to draw any charater in an 'Art Nouveau' style.

I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with this style - but I hope I did the cat justice. (click for larger view)

Black Lighting - I don't usually do up DC heroes, so this was a bit of a switch for me. I had originally intended to have this one a much looser painting, but I copped out. Ah well. And before ya ask, no, I didn't use Eddie as a reference - but I'm shocked to see how much this piece ended up resembling him.

This is great looks alot like Jessica Biel to me which is a very good thing!

Skull Krusher - I originally pictured him as a guy who'd take on the Punisher or Spider-man... that kind of street-level basher.

Death Wish - I have always lovedthe look of this original character, and just kind of forgot about drawing him. This wasn't exactly how I had envisioned it turning out, but I think it looks decent enough.

Scorpion - I've always felt that this guy wouldbe wicked in the right hands. NOT saying that I captured that, but just see the potential in him.

Green Lantern - I decided that drawing the Corps was not good enough - I had to put a twist into it. Adding an 'e' seemed the most appropriate thing to do.

Black Panther - Done up for a monthly challenge over on PJ, the topic was 'Man vs Wild'. I'm hoping that Black Panther captured that (and the rhino).

Nurse Friday and Hott Head - hmmmm, it seems to be the season for getting lots of 'couples' requests.

Red Riding Hood - A red hood. A fit bod. And a chainsaw.


Danner - Dan is a good buddy of mine back home. He's got a fairly distinctive look to him, so I thought I'd do up some art of him. He's also a big fan of the Transformers, so I figured I'd transform him into one of his vehicles.
