Me too. I never had time to anticipate the first film. And I'd like to see a sequel. Period.

I thought the 'Jumper' would do well since the Director was Doug Linman, and he did some pretty good work on the 'Bourne' movies.(which a 4th is coming out in like..2011 or something) But It seemed the entire movie was rushed and poorly set up.

Hopefully the second is way better......WAAYYYY ..better.

Well, the film was bound to feel short and 'rushed' because they teleported everywhere. There were no long road trips, train journeys, etc. The worst thing was the mother at the ending, which was far too unresolved.

Liman had ideas for a sequel. I discussed the movie in a blog of mine at the time, and mentioned his sequel ideas.

I'd rather they continue the story from where they left off, as they don't seem to need Reflex to continue it.

I hope this movie does get made. Only they need more Griffin in this story. Instead of having Daving do the voice over this time they should have Griffin do it. He has a pretty voice ^^

it was entertaining. i liked it bout the same as the first Bourne movie. and yeah it was kinda cool for Hayden to have his a-- handed to him by Sam Jackson.

Yesterday I talked with Jamie Bell about his latest film, Mister Foe (known in the UK as Hallam Foe) as well as his career and some upcoming projects (like Defiance, the WWII movie he made with Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber. The best advice Craig gave him, Bell said, was to always keep his head up during action scenes), so I had to squeeze in a question about a possible Jumper 2. The original made some good money, and Fox has made some noise about a sequel. Bell's character was left alive,if immobilized, at the end of the first film, so I wondered if he'd be up for the sequel.

"Only if it was with Doug Liman," he said. "I had a really good time with that character."

I feel asleep while watching the first one but I saw enough to know that it sucked. Personally I don't think that a sequel will be made and I think the sweet lord for that.

The original sucked. It was literally like reading the prologue of a book and then putting down the book and never reading it again.

Which is why a sequel might be a little interesting...

But then again, the sequel definitely has to have everything that was supposed to be in the first one and more.

Seeing as that most likely won't happen... I say no thanks for me on the sequel.

Jumper was immensely bad in so many ways, shapes and forms, and yet I still found it to be strangely entertaining.

I remember thinking the movie was better than I thought it'd be but it was still pretty mediocre. I mean what it had going for it was the special effects, production values, and lovely locales but without a decent story/acting that all kind of falls flat.

The problem with the film is that its like an elongated first act that has some obstacles thrown in for good measure. All the characters are generic cut outs with absolutely no real character development. Don't mistake me there are interesting plot devices to fill up the time and get characters from Point A to Point B but there's absolutely no subtext to what the characters do, no emotional hook for the audience to empathize with. So by the time you get to the end you feel completely unsatisfied because nothing really happened and nothing has really changed. This is Jumper in a nutshell: a flimsy set of plot devices that merely an excuse for spectacle.

With that said, I could see a sequel being great if they bother to breathe some life into the characters...

I found Jumper to be entertaining but I didn't much care for Haydens character or his story.

I would be up for a sequel, especially if they focused more on Griffin. Me and my friend both said we enjoyed the scenes with Griffin in far more than Haydens scene. The scene where he's running/jumping through his burning shack at Samuel and then he jumps the bus.. if it's more like that then great.

They also didn't really give enough back story for the Paladins like why they hate the jumpers, I know it was the first movie, so maybe they could focus on that more too..
