Jurassic Park IV

I read the JPIV news last night and couldn't stop grinning for a good 5 minutes...knew it was too good to be true. Something was fishy about just casually writing,"oh we're filming JPIV today, no big deal!"

You guys are right though, the world doesn't need another JP unless 30 to 40 years from now, a good young director wants to create a new vision...perhaps closer to the book. But nothing will ever take away what the first film accomplished for society and cinema.

One of the all time greats. And I'm appreciative to know I was born at the same time it released.

I thought this was true.

I don't know how this could have been true. I mean if it was a secret, it was a damn well kept secret. Because these days we would have heard something.

I still need to read the second book.

100% legit. Apparently it's all over the Universal lot right now.

I wonder how many actors "accidentally " showed up to stage 7

truth be told we need another dinosaur movie other than JP. I hate that B movie bs on scifi it would be real cool to see a torok movie or a remake of one of those old dinosaur flicks from back then. Yea i know king kong wasnt as good as the prvios but i just loved to see kong fighting the trex in modern tech.

The series still deserves a proper finale and send-off. JP3 wasn't a terrible movie, but a series finale it's not.

I'm gonna say it right here and now: this ****'s NEVER getting made. No one really CARES about this series anymore (or movies about dinosaurs, for that matter), and maybe it's for the best. Why? Case in point, a certain TV show adaptation from 2009 starring Will "I Can't Stop Play A Raging, Screaming Man-Child In Every Damn Movie" Ferrel.

Interest has only been dead in this series for so long because there hasn't been a new movie for the past decade. I have no doubt a new movie would revive a huge amount of interest in the series and bring in a whole new generation of fans.

I feel like the next logical step for the franchise would be releasing the films on Blu-ray. Get the franchise back in the public conscious, similar to what was recently done with "Ghostbusters" (video game, Blu-ray, etc.) and it might create demand for another movie. I would be very surprised (and disappointed) if at least the first one wasn't on Blu-ray by 2013.

All I want is the first one Blu Ray. I like the second film, but the first is only worthy on Blu Ray for me.

I want to see myself reflect through Malcolm's cold and cynical gaze with his black sunglasses.

The second one had enough deleted scenes to warrant a bluray for me. The third one also. But those can be released whenever, I'm only dying for the first one...tons of deleted scenes. Hell, even the scene with the t-rex bursting into the VC.

The second film's deleted scenes are damned good. Especially the Roland bar sequence.

Does that scene from the first JP even exist? Nobody seems to verify it's existance and it seems to mainly be a rumor. I saw a theatrical revival screening of JP last year and no deleted footage appeared present, though perhaps it was a later print of the film if indeed early theatrical prints had the scene of the T-Rex breaking inside the Visitor's Center.

I've never seen it, but that's what a ton of people say, even JP legacy.

I've never been able to find the scene anywhere, but I'd like to see it if it does indeed exist.

I remember that shot in the trailer. There's also the deleted scene with the baby Triceratops in the Triceratops enclosure. Wasn't the river raft chase with the T-Rex partially filmed as well before it was scrapped?

that scene in the river shows up in JP3. both that river scene and the Pteredactyl scene in the aviary were both in the first book.
