The music though keeps bugging me for some reason and I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

Europe gets the film two weeks before the US.
But gets Ant-Man & The Wasp and Incredibles 2 a month after the US. (Blame the World Cup)![]()

Bayonas Kingdom is perhaps the most ambitious Jurassic film to date, with a genre-shifting twist halfway through the film: The island is destroyed and the action moves to an enormous American estate where characters are trapped indoors with a rampaging new terror, the Indoraptor. Think Jurassic meets Panic Room. The first half, you have a whole dinosaur movie on the island, so you have what you expect from a Jurassic movie, says Bayona. Then the second half moves to a totally different environment that feels more suspenseful, darker, claustrophobic, and even has this kind of gothic element, which I love. The only other time the Jurassic franchise has seen the dinosaurs leave their tropical locales was the climactic moments of 1997s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, when the T. rex stampeded San Diego. Adds Pratt, At the end of the day, were all trying to make something that will be part of the Jurassic empire and tonally match the previous movies, but were going off in a new direction.

Somewhat explains the tonal changes in the trailers. Very interested in seeing how this is pulled off.
Really enjoyed this trailer, bring on the sequel.
Wow, they just spoiled the hell out of that twist without abandon, huh?
Not really. After the first trailer was released, the director said the first trailer only showed stuff from the first hour of the film and that the film changes into something else after that first hour. And we had already seen footage of the Indoraptor in the girl's bedroom so we already knew the dinosaurs would end up in some sort of residential area. I wouldnt even call this a twist.
Colin Trevorrow, who co-wrote and directed 2015s Jurassic World and co-wrote and produced Fallen Kingdom, will return to the directors chair to close out the trilogy. Says the director, Steven Spielberg asked me [to direct], and when he asks you, what can I tell you, man? In all honesty, over my past few years, Ive grown to love and cherish the value of the gift that Ive been given with this franchise.
Trevorrow, who is currently writing Jurassic World 3 with Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is mum on plot details but does say the final film will still feature Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard). He adds, But theres other characters who well meet in Fallen Kingdom youll realize are major characters.
Trevorrow also says the next film will be most close in tone to Steven Spielbergs 1993 original. Reveals the director, If I could contextualize each film, I would say Jurassic World was an action adventure, Fallen Kingdom is kind of a horror suspense film, and Jurassic World 3 will be a science thriller in the same way that Jurassic Park was.
I'm talking about the part where they say [BLACKOUT]the island is destroyed.[/BLACKOUT]
Did you miss the part in the first trailer when the big ****ing volcano is erupting and destroying the island and killing a bunch of dinosaurs? We've known for months that the volcano wrecks the island.
I just figured that while the volcano would do enough damage to the island and the life on it, Isla Nublar would be big enough to still sustain itself after eruption. According to this map, the volcano is pretty close to the northern coast of the island. I don't see how it could take out an entire island of that size unless it were larger and at the center.
I definitely liked this trailer more than the first one. It looks more suspenseful and less spectacle-focused. I still have yet to see the first Jurassic World, so I'm not sure if I'll end up seeing this in theaters or not.
I recently rewatched the first Jurassic Park and watched the sequels for the first time, and I enjoyed them all pretty well. The first one is definitely the best, but I actually thought the third one was better than the second. I need to watch Jurassic World at some point.
