Not feeling that trailer either. I really like Bayona but, mmm... I don't know.

The music though keeps bugging me for some reason and I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

The trailerized Williams' score.

:hehe:

"If I don't make it back...... remember you're the one that made me come here"
*her look*
"I'll be all right"

That Pratt :funny:

I thought the trailer was better than the first one. As has been suggested in this thread before, they probably should have just called this one The Lost Park: Jurassic World. :o

I'm getting a lot of Lost World vibes, but if it's entertaining I'll be satisfied. I'm not expecting a whole lot though.

I did like the Indominus skeleton cameo in the water.

Europe gets the film two weeks before the US.

But gets Ant-Man & The Wasp and Incredibles 2 a month after the US. (Blame the World Cup)

Also a different tagline...

Wow, the differences here are significant. 1 week is bad enough.

Thought the trailer was okay, though some of the Pratt jokes really fell flat.

Love the detail of the Indominus' skeleton in the Mosasaur tank, though.

Switching dates around because of the World Cup makes no sense to me. It's not like all the European teams are playing 24/7. But on the other hand, I do remember during the last World Cup there were really no major blockbusters released except for Transformers 4. I guess Hollywood is no match for FIFA. :o

Bayona’s Kingdom is perhaps the most ambitious Jurassic film to date, with a genre-shifting twist halfway through the film: The island is destroyed and the action moves to an enormous American estate where characters are trapped indoors with a rampaging new terror, the Indoraptor. Think Jurassic meets Panic Room. “The first half, you have a whole dinosaur movie on the island, so you have what you expect from a Jurassic movie,” says Bayona. “Then the second half moves to a totally different environment that feels more suspenseful, darker, claustrophobic, and even has this kind of gothic element, which I love.” The only other time the Jurassic franchise has seen the dinosaurs leave their tropical locales was the climactic moments of 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, when the T. rex stampeded San Diego. Adds Pratt, “At the end of the day, we’re all trying to make something that will be part of the Jurassic empire and tonally match the previous movies, but we’re going off in a new direction.”

Somewhat explains the tonal changes in the trailers. Very interested in seeing how this is pulled off.

Wow, they just spoiled the hell out of that twist without abandon, huh?

Really enjoyed this trailer, bring on the sequel.

I’m with you bro  Nice to see some others in here who are excited like myself besides the usual stuff in this thread. They were some beautiful shots in this trailer as well.

Lot of cool shots in that trailer. Digging the horror vibe and getting the dinosaurs off the island.

Is it mean to want to see that new mutant one break out in the middle of the auction house and massacre everyone?

Not really. After the first trailer was released, the director said the first trailer only showed stuff from the first hour of the film and that the film changes into something else after that first hour. And we had already seen footage of the Indoraptor in the girl's bedroom so we already knew the dinosaurs would end up in some sort of residential area. I wouldnt even call this a twist.

There are some really cool shots in that trailer, but I still think they whole thing feels tired.
I'm still gonna see it though. It had enough stuff for me to go check it out.

I'm talking about the part where they say [BLACKOUT]the island is destroyed.[/BLACKOUT]

Jurassic World 3 will be a 'science thriller,' says Colin Trevorrow
http://ew.com/movies/2018/04/18/jurassic-world-3-colin-trevorrow/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
Colin Trevorrow, who co-wrote and directed 2015’s Jurassic World and co-wrote and produced Fallen Kingdom, will return to the director’s chair to close out the trilogy. Says the director, “Steven Spielberg asked me [to direct], and when he asks you, what can I tell you, man? In all honesty, over my past few years, I’ve grown to love and cherish the value of the gift that I’ve been given with this franchise.”

Trevorrow, who is currently writing Jurassic World 3 with Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is mum on plot details but does say the final film will still feature Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard). He adds, “But there’s other characters who we’ll meet in Fallen Kingdom you’ll realize are major characters.”
Trevorrow also says the next film will be most close in tone to Steven Spielberg’s 1993 original. Reveals the director, “If I could contextualize each film, I would say Jurassic World was an action adventure, Fallen Kingdom is kind of a horror suspense film, and Jurassic World 3 will be a science thriller in the same way that Jurassic Park was.”

Did you miss the part in the first trailer when the big ****ing volcano is erupting and destroying the island and killing a bunch of dinosaurs? We've known for months that the volcano wrecks the island.

I definitely liked this trailer more than the first one. It looks more suspenseful and less spectacle-focused. I still have yet to see the first Jurassic World, so I'm not sure if I'll end up seeing this in theaters or not.

I recently rewatched the first Jurassic Park and watched the sequels for the first time, and I enjoyed them all pretty well. The first one is definitely the best, but I actually thought the third one was better than the second. I need to watch Jurassic World at some point.

I just figured that while the volcano would do enough damage to the island and the life on it, Isla Nublar would be big enough to still sustain itself after eruption. According to this map, the volcano is pretty close to the northern coast of the island. I don't see how it could take out an entire island of that size unless it were larger and at the center.

Volcano ash can spread thousands of miles. Vesuvius spread ash all the way to Constantinople (1200 miles). And in our planet's history single volcanoes have impacted the entire planet's climate. Krakatau in the middle ages caused a world wide mini ice age because it threw so much ash into the atmosphere. So a single volcano can easily devastate a single island's ecosystem. Regardless of where its located at on the island.

I like the 2nd a lot till they go to the mainland. 3 is entertaining in some ways but it’s a comedy really and at some times painful. With that much comedy it’s hard to muster up real drama.
