Just the Phoenix Storyline

How do you think the movie would have went without the cure storyline the main focus only be on Jean Grey as Phoenix?

Who would the villain/villains be?

What would Rogue and friends be doing?

Would Angel even appear?

How do you think the movie would have went without the Cure storyline.

I think the film would've been better with just the Phoenix storyline... it would bring trilogy to well rounded close

Villains- (Singer's plan) "... Emma Frost, a role intended for Sigourney Weaver. Frost was an empath manipulating Jean's emotions in the treatment, and like the finished film Magneto desires to control her. Overwhelmed by her powers, Jean makes Cyclops kill her, but her spirit survives and becomes a god-like creature, which Dougherty compared to the star child in A Space Odyssey."
-I like this idea, but would make the Hellfire club the ones wanting to control her instead of Magneto and make Emma a telepaht rather than empath as she'd be more deadly

-And we'd finally get to see the focus on the actual X-Men and not their tag-along/unofficial X-man Wolverine


I think the cure plot should've been saved to kick off the next trilogy,

X4-as a response to the Dark Phoenix's power display... the events of X3 make headlines and in fear the production of the cure is greenlit... (the cure storyline is brilliant, but under-developed)
---Cyke is still not over Jean's death takes backseat to Storm
---intro Angel (make him older and have past ties w/ X-Men that's why it's so hard for him to let his father do this)
---intro Beast similary to X3, but scientific, as well as political
---develop Rogue + have her connect with Beast

X5-Magneto's mini war would lead to humans creating the Sentinels-- a subplot could be the Legacy Virus (the cure gone wrong) introduce Sinister and the Morlocks being a haven from the sentinels
---In the final battle under NY Angel and Cyclops are presumed dead, only to be taken in by Sinister

X6-Apocalypse, what humanity has been trying to prevent in the past 2 films (mutant uprise) has come to pass
---Cyclops + Jean's DNA are used to create the ultimate mutant and body for Apocalypses
---Angel becomes a horseman
---Incredibly awesome final battle sequence

If Singer would have stayed and did his X3/X4 back 2 back like he intended to then X3 would have focused on Jean's backstory, the death of Annie and the awakening ofher latent telepathy/telekinesis...the film would have focused on her realizing what power she now possess, when she used Cerebro the pyhsic barriers slightly broke and the X-Men worrying whether or not if one person can handle that much power

Colossus,Rogue/Iceman/Shadowcat join the team...Rogue's power has evolved n2 strength/flight

No Brotherhood!!! But Mystique is around spying on the gov./Genosha

The main plot would be Genosha Island and the imprisonment of mutants

intro. lots of cameo's by mutants

The Hellfire Club is introduced,but mainly Emma has a larger role, they are Shaw, Emma,Leland, Graydon Creed(who believes he's working with humans), they are funding Genosha and Trask's/Creed's Sentinel project

X4 would be the cure storyline after witnessing Phoenix's power and the destruction of Genosha they come up with a cure...

the cure would be the main plot line

The brotherhood returns with new members(from the Genosha island incident;Gambit/Juggernaut)

Magento teams up with the Morlocks because Leech is the source of the cure and Callisto wants him back, little that she know Magneto plans on killing him

Prof. X/Scott are worried about Jean's new power feeling that she will eventually loose control like he did on Genosha.

Jean telepathically spies on the X-men and she leaves the mansion fearing that they want to give her the cure

Magneto hears about Jean's power and uses Psylocke to try and seduce her, like Emma did, but by doing this she unlock's Dark Phoenix

Intro. Angel/his dad, Beast has a bigger role, Rogue debates on the cure, Scott is alive, the climax is the X-Men fight Magento's army,Phoenix and Phoenix vs. Xavier with Xavier able to cage the beast within but at the sametime he sacrificied his life to save Jean...

i don't know i really liked the cure storyline and so did the majority of the critics maybe wait to do phoenix saga for the 4th film with phoenix returning at end of x3

-gambit is a assasin for the hellfire club
-scott lives and becomes the leader again

-the hellfire club are defeated,because emma and remy betrays them,jean is tracked to genosha
-the brotherhood are going to attack genosha,and capture jean,x-men are going stop them

-brotherhood-magneto,mystique,pyro,juggernaut,blob,toad,sabertooth
