Justice League of America has Been Delayed!

So basically, Emi didn't nail anything with Ryan Reynolds, since Reynolds has been talked about this role for several years, much like Ray Park for Iron Fist.

It sounded more than anything like she was just reinforcing that talk and saying she liked Reynolds for that role.

So once again, I really challenge her supporters to something she really nailed in her reports.

Uncle Bingo fooled so many posters here that it blows my hair back.

I hope you're not bald from that. It wouldn't good. :wow:

And I would say Emi can be half right & half wrong. Thought she tend to post news after someone else post it first. I know you mention that before I think, Showtime.

This is the list of the 2008 films they plan to discuss. There could be less, there could be more. This has nothing to do with the 2009 annoucements.
Those presentations will be the highlights of the show, They will have footage and new trailers for those movies, but they're supposed to disclose their future projects too.

My problem isn't so much with Emi, but all the people that would brandy her stuff here as the God's honest truth and the gospel that wouldn't be deviated from. Same with Baghdad Uncle Bingo Bob who never was able to prove his bull**** info. at all or back it up, but people still posted it everywhere and were willing to accept it as fact. Just the continuing spread of BS and misinformation on the internet. It annoys me when fellow posters of the Hype forums partake in that.

I get that some fans don't want to believe this or that could or could not be happening, but one would think when you had the X-men 3 writers online smoke screening fans on forums people would wise up a little.

No one wanted to believe the EW story which is a legit newsource and publication that's OWNED BY TIME WARNER, but everyone was ready to believe Emi and Bingo Bob.

Yea that early 90s ff film was crap in my opinion, only things i liked in that was doom's suit and thing's suit. Yes the Fox film wasnt the greatest they both FF big buget films have their good parts and bad parts.

"Fantastic Four" (1994)

It was an utter disappointment to anyone who was a fan at the time. Magazines like "Fanzine", "Star Log", were hyping the film with pictures like these only to have it never release at the box office. Then again, what can you expect for $1.5 million?

Fantastic Four (2005)

Clearly this was a far superior film and it's budget and box office numbers showed it.

I wasnt aware of the previous Reynolds articles, and I am not a supporter of hers but I am not an opponent of hers either.

No, the one thing I have is hair. I have pointed out a lot of her news evolves from other sources dropping it first a long time ago with examples. I am not suprised about this.

Those presentations will be the highlights of the show, They will have footage and new trailers for those movies, but they're supposed to disclose their future projects too.

Right, that is how it always works. Not sure if its at the same presentation though. Is it?

I didn't believe Bingo for a second and am always skeptical of Jayne's info. It is what it is.

The Sydney Morning Herald
Unhappy feet may flee Sydney
Garry Maddox, Film Writer
February 25, 2008

The Oscar-winning director of Happy Feet, George Miller, could be forced overseas with his $US200 million ($220 million) superhero movie Justice League Mortal because of a dispute over whether it is eligible for the Federal Government's new incentive for film production.

The acclaimed director of the Mad Max trilogy and producer of Babe is angrily battling to keep the huge production and a planned sequel to Happy Feet in Sydney.

The industry is split over whether the incentive - a 40 per cent rebate for Australian producers - should apply to big-budget movies. Some producers, suspicious about Hollywood studios abusing the scheme and wary of a cost blow-out, want it limited to films costing up to $30 million.

Miller said limiting the scheme would keep the film industry moribund.

"Any form of capping basically means the Australian film industry is going to be restricted to what it's been for almost two decades - a cottage industry making films that very sadly Australian audiences seem reluctant to see, with some wonderful exceptions, let alone films that get any exposure overseas," he said.

Justice League was due to be shot at Fox Studios this year until Warner Bros suspended production last month, citing uncertainty over the new incentives. Based on a comic book, it is due to star the Australians Megan Gale, Teresa Palmer and Hugh Keays-Byrne among eight lead roles and employ a huge crew that includes visual effects specialists.

"One of the reasons for doing Justice League in this country is the opportunity to bring back all the people we lost on Happy Feet who went overseas," Miller said. "We spent four years developing this talent and the cream of them left because they didn't have another film to go on to ...

"The idea is to say come back, start off on Justice League then move onto Happy Feet 2."

Miller described the movie's status as "precarious" and said Warner Bros was pushing for it to be shot overseas, with Canada the most likely option.

The executive director of the Screen Producers Association of Australia, Geoff Brown, said capping the rebate was one of several proposals being debated.

"We want to be seen as an industry that's responsible and we don't want to be caught up in some sort of close-down of the scheme because of perceived excesses," he said.

It is known that some producers believe Justice League is not Australian enough to qualify for the scheme and should be made under the 15 per cent rebate for foreign films.

But Miller said the movie - and others - would not get made under the lower rebate given the difficulty of attracting Hollywood backing now the dollar was above US90 cents compared with less than US60 cents when Happy Feet was financed.

"The rebate is not a windfall, it is not welfare, it's not a hand-out," he said. "It's trying to seduce investment into the country which has a multiplier effect through the economy over two to three years... taxed at every level. And only at the end of that is there a rebate."

Applications for the producer rebate are being assessed by the Film Finance Corporation. Its chief executive, Brian Rosen, is angry about the proposed cap.

"There's an opportunity here with the offset to be more adventurous with filmmaking and more ambitious in storytelling," he said. "And all anybody wants to say is let's stop... George Miller from getting it so we can make small films that appeal to about 100,000 people and no-one else, about lesbians, drugs and whatever else."

Mr Rosen said small Australian films would still be financed under the new agency Screen Australia. "Several Australian producers who couldn't make a decent film if their life depended on it want to make sure that those people that do have talent cannot make the films they want to make."

As far as we know, they are working on the subsequent drafts, but it wouldn't suprise me if they brought in somebody else.
Me neither.
Please let the MOS rumors be true.:o
I'm happy about the aliens in you back yard. You can make a lot of money selling their corpses on ebay.
But Wb is announcing their release schedule for the next two years at Showest on March 13.
I hope this finally means we're getting some clarity on the status of MOS and JLA.
Moving production to Canada will set the movie back even further.

UPDATE?
If you believe this it looks like production may really be starting back up soon with Scott Porter as Superman?

In the comments section of australian stuntman Steve D's official myspace page a friend of his posted the following:

Hey man, how are ya? Good to hear you're still busy. I'm about to go to New Zealand to do a big movie pitch, so I'll let you know how it goes. Working with George Miller (Mad Max director) on Justice League soon too. I went to Sydney just before Christmas and got to know the cast and George for a week. Cool bunch. Megan Gale (Wonder Woman) is devastatingly gorgeous and a lovely soul. Today the new Aust Prime Minister officially apologized to all indigenous australians for the ****ty hand they've been dealt for the past two centuries. It was a fairly moving speech. Best thing I've seen on TV in years.

woooow retroman. you did it again. now why would they make this up?

scott porter then?

I'd take Porter over any of the rumored candidates for this role. At the very least I could see some sort of semblance as Superman.

Yea if porter is back in the rumors he would be better then catrona, yes he isnt the best person for supes but he atless looks better then catrona. I know porter isnt much taller then catrona but i think he is 6'0 right, and he could easily look a little taller with lifts to look like 6'3-6'4(supes height).

Yea know the early 90s film was utter crap, i was saying the only things i liked when i first saw it years ago was thing's suit and doom's suit the rest of the early 90s film was crap. Now the fox films were good yes they were not the best but were very enjoyable and had good and bad parts in them.

Well to Porters credit, he said Brody beat him out for Flash, I don't think he ever said anything about Superman....

I think also Porter signed a Superman Comic around that time saying Maybe I am and Maybe I am not? Didn't think much of it then, but if he was not getting a part you would think he would have just not signed it? This news sounds good to me.

Well the actors had a gag order then, so Porter can talk about if he got cast if someone got a hold of him now...

Yea porter would be a hell of alot better then catrona, orginally i didnt like his name when rumors first came out he was for supes but over catrona i would take porter. Personally it would be nice if it was routh or even welling both would be the better guys to go with. But porter looks and probably could pull off superman bettern then catrona.

I think it was another poster from here on shh but i dont remember it was so long ago and i dont remember which thread it was in and we would have to search through pages after pages to see.
