Kanye finally snapped!

Everyone would like to think that huh. We all like to take the path of the righteous when we are on the outside looking in.

Why? Why is someone saying something horrible to you such a big deal? Why do you feel the need to "defend your/her honor," or whatever?

So, you defend your honor, by kicking the ass of an honor-less scumbag. What did you just prove?

Seems more like being dragged down to their level than defending anyone's honor.

Why? Who is this stranger to you? He knows nothing about you personally, how can anything he says about you or to you, be true? Why do his ridiculous words mean a thing to you?

By even responding to him, you are giving him the attention he is so obviously seeking out, and you want to take his bait?

I guess it's my principle.

If Kanye did nothing then next time the kid said something like this it could've been a lot worse for him. The kid got lucky he got a bit of a beat down.

That kids lucky he said it to a public figure and not just a random a couple walking down the street. He could of been easily killed if it was just joe shmoe.

Are you really asking me why the word Nigg** isn't tolerated in society?

The kid got exactly what he wanted actually. He will be paid well for trolling Kanye.

And let me get this straight, If I don't attack someone for yelling at me the first time, the next time I should assume it's going to automatically escalate because...? That makes no sense.

It's not like it was a split second reaction. Kim got insulted, went inside, found Kanye and told him about it, they both went back outside, went into another building where she found and pointed him out, then Kanye beat him up.

The time between insult and assault was long enough for one of the adults in the situation to realize they should stop reacting like a child.

So let me get this straight...

A mouthy teenager (probably more mouthy than actually racist) says some loud mouth crap and the solution is for a grown man to beat him to a pulp and we cheer that grown man on like a bunch of post apocalyptic thunderdome viewers. Honestly Kanye is damn lucky he wasnt hurt. Seriously thats a crock of ****. Kim and Kanye both are a bunch of immature attention ****ing prats. To any witness with no idea why he was beating the kid they would have just seen a grown man beating a kid and hes lucky someone didnt hurt him.

Its a damn word let it roll off call the kid a dumbass if you must and move on. I hope a judge throws the book at Kanye for this stunt.
which is why I just can't like his music

One cannot downplay that the man was a bigot.

However, our society would collapse if everyone was free to assault everyone who called them names. Hell, for three months in a Biology Class in high school, I had to sit next to a psychopath who called me the slur allocated to gay men, every day. I could not focus in class, because of him calling me the name or throwing pens at my face.I wanted to punch his face in; but, I did not. And I had to deal with that crap for three months straight, because the teacher refused to move me, even after I told her about the crap, time after time. It was not until the student teacher saw the guy hit me with a chair he threw, as I was leaving for the bus, was something done about the matter.

Don't get me wrong: no one deserves to be threatened or called slurs. But, that does not mean that everyone is entitled to beat the snot out of everyone who calls them names.

I only read the main article on this, but the guy is potentially a genius. This is how you piss off a celebrity and sue them. Not saying its moral or anything, but just a couple of words can financially benefit you for life. You can't prove the words were said, but you sure got a beat down for evidence.

This.

The fact that Kim said nothing during the beat down or even told kanye about it, shows she's doesn't really have his best interests at heart. Yes, it was a horrible comment but if you as a woman knows your man will possibly end up going to prison, etc, if you tell him something of that nature…i dunno, she should have took one for their team, and at least told him what the guy said later on to avoid a now troubling situation.

it's what he said that gave him this beat down. If it was a random b***h comment then I could maybe understand it.

He's not lucky, he knew what he was doing. He wanted a reaction, and Kanye obliged.

Are you really asking me why the word Nigg** isn't tolerated in society?
Where are you getting that I said that? I'm saying that words, any words, are not reason to seek out and attack someone and are best left ignored when ignorant aholes use them.

It's not like you're going to have a reasonable conversation or change their mind when dealing with someone yelling Nigg** at people.

In none of this did I ever say Kanye doesn't deserve to get charged with assault. I just can't believe there are some people here who feel sorry for the kid.

All these posts, not one answered my question if the ethnicities were different if it would still be justified.

But then they couldn't have a months worth of episodes of their TV show to talk all about it, recreate the incident, etc.

I don't understand it, because words are just words to me. Words are what you let them be to you.

A person calling me any name or word in the book effects my life in exactly ZERO ways. Throwing things and physical attacks are completely different.

So lets say i had a girlfriend of a different race. If someone was making fun of her for liking a white guy like me, sure I'd be upset. Would I beat the guy down? Probably not. Would I want to? Heck yes. And if i beat the guy, I doubt anyone would be defending me or saying I was justified.

I'll requote it here.

I wonder if the roles were different if the response would be the same.

White kid + Asian (or Arabic) slur = ?
Asian kid + Black (or White or Arabic) slur = ?
Black kid + Asian (or White or Arabic) slur = ?
Arabic kid + Black (or Asian or White) slur = ?

Are all of these justified beat downs like this one moronic kid made? Or is it only accepted when you use the one? I suspect it would result in a different outcome depending on the combination. And I haven't even included all the combinations possible.

Again, it's not like the kid didn't deserve at least some kind of reproval but beating him is excessive. I doubt there'd be many defending a black kid for saying something racist if they were using an asian slur against someone. Or if they were to say something about another race.

And we are to feel sorry for a kid spewing "****** Lover" at his girlfriend? Please......

This kids ass was going to get beat. Whether it was from Kanye today, or some black guy a year from now. He's clearly a hate mongering bigot. Maybe thats why he attacked a public figure, he knew he couldn't hit him so he spewed whatever hate he had....but then he got the **** kicked out of him.

Do not pity these scumbags.

If it's just a damn word, say it at the office tomorrow, or to the next black person you see on the street. See if they share the same emotions as you do.

Dont act like i dont understand the meaning, history, and hate behind that word because I do and i know damn well not to use it and have no desire to use it. Its filthy and people that use it arent worth my time. But as a damn adult Kanye should be able to control his emotions or at least not react like a damn caveman when someone says some hateful crap. Ive been called just about every derogatory term imagineable at some point in my life but you dont see me whooping everyone's ass like a child who cant control himself. Point is Kanye should have acted like an adult and told Kim that the kid was a hateful little **** and not to worry about what this teenager thought. I dont know maybe im a little more level headed and just dont care about what teenagers think about me. They are hormonal and they do dumb ****.

Yeah I absolutely hate teenagers as well. Their attitude that they know everything but actually know extremely little is a toxic one. I just get soo upset because I know kids like this have probably done this **** for years to celebrities and they have all taken the high road. I like unlawful justice everyone once in a while. Its exciting and goes to show we still have some balls.

My thing is that as big as these two are they should know better. I understand they're human and have emotions too but that's the price of fame. You have to deal with *******s like this kid all the time; now he's going to probably end up being rich and/or infamous at their expense.

I agree with this. And ya know if Kanye would have just taken a single swing at the kid just to put him in his place I could get behind that. It wouldnt have severely injured him and it would have taught him a lesson. But from the sounds of it Kanye went beyond that and pummled the kid. He went beyond teaching him a lesson and made it about hurting the kid. Thats the only reason ive got a problem with this. Im all for putting people in their place just make it within reason and be an adult about it.

Yeah I can see your point Marvolo. There is a line and Kanye crossed it. Which is why I said before I hope he does get charged with assault. It'll be nice to have a celebrity also answer for their actions, something that happens very little.

If this kid truly was on drugs, what better way to ensure this kid has no future then to throw millions of dollars at his drug addiction. :whatever:

Thats my bad. I missed that in your post. I get to scanning this threads and miss the important bits.

About the drug addiction, if this is true its a shame. Maybe the judge will give him mandatory rehab and put the money under control of a more resppnsible legal guardian.
