None of these words should ever be used to describe someone, but that means that we have to stop calling each other those names so other people don't think it's okay for them to say it.


That being said, what about all the other words that are frequently said and no one gets the crap kicked out of them for it (like f*g, *unt, and so on)? If the kid threatened Kim, then yeah, there's a case to be made. But, he didn't (allegedly, he did. According to Kim anyways ). He shouted something stupid and offensive. That happens all the time. Kanye should have just moved on from it. The word is clearly wrong, but it and others are said every day and people don't give in to that crap.

They have a different set of laws as a protected class in things like housing, employment, etc. You can't discriminate against a minority simply because they are a minority. Yeah, I may be going out on a limb here, but I bet if every single black person in America decided to never use the n word again, racists are still going to think its ok to keep using the word to describe blacks. Well thankfully it's not my concept of white privilege. It's a recognized social truth just like "there is no such thing as a free lunch" is a recognized platitude. I don't know, I just think a minority would have a better understanding of what it's like to experience racial discrimination. Just like an overweight person would better be able to understand size discrimination than a thin person. Nobody wants to hear a thin person complaining about how they experience discrimination just like fat people or telling a fat person that sizeism is not that bad.
