This blows CoD4 out of the water and looks far better then Gears of War... that's strictly my opinion, but the console standard has been set, the bar has been raised way beyond what I thought possible so soon, and Killzone 2 holds that bar.

While I think it looks awesome, I think Gears looks better at some things. Like the characters faces for example. But thats just me...

Fair enough I think it has much more complex faces then Gears. I'll post some HD screenshots later, but Killzone... much higher polygon count, bigger environments, destructible, amazing lighting, amazing animation, way more going on, sure Killzone isn't normal mapping every surface but it does the more important things much better then Gears did.

No console game matches this game, at all. Hell screenshots look like artwork (in a good way).

Well, actually I didnt like one guys face. He looked weird, especially when he was talking.
But as I said, thats just me. Everything else was awesome...

IGN said the one level they saw was 2GB! Thats a lot! Hopefully the gameplay will be just as good.

BTW...when is the Sony conference? Do you think they'll announce a price cut for Europe too? I really want to know cause if they'll do I'll wait. If not I'll be getting a PS3 at the end of the month.

I just watched in HD, and mother of god it looks gorgeous. I have nit pics, like the blurred thing they're sitting on at the start, but I'm not gonna moan at them.

Rico sounds different and was a tad out of character. It'll great to see more interesting environments in the coming days hopefully.

that looked incredible. i think guerrilla deserve an apology from some people here... or at least a pat on the back. they may not have matched that initial footage, but damn did they come close, and the game isn't even done yet.

that might be the best looking thing out there right now.

I might take some flack for this but I think the game looks better then the E3 2005 footage, not technically speaking polygon for polygon but overall. The E3 trailer was sterile in comparison, it's the lighting, the debris, the explosions, the way blood splatters, the filtering, that make it look better then the E3 CGI trailer.

That's just my opinion.

Yeah. I'm not too big on Killzone, and I dunno if I'll buy thi yet, but I'll admit it looks fantastic. Alot of people disagree though. I had a discussion with Stephen about it, he thinks it looks mediocre, while I disagree he has some valid points.

WOW!!! Killzone 2 went from Half-Life 2 graphics to Blacksite: Area 51 graphics. Looking very good. Despite the cool, scripted beginning to the level, the actual game looks pretty good too.
