Wes Ball is no Matt Reeves but I trust him way more than other directors. Plus you still have the writers from the last trilogy.
They had to evolve eventually. Caesar was speaking in full sentences by the third one. A big part of the charm of the franchise in general is that the apes speak.Looks meh. Not Andy or Matt Reeves really hurts this. And I personally don’t like they fully talk now. I liked the sign language better with random words here and there. It made it more impactful.

Yeah I don't get that train of thought either. Me personally I was wondering when we were gonna get to all the apes talking and not just Caesar. Having grown up watching the classics on TV as a child I was wondering when the new ones which I love were going to start getting closer to the original with all the Apes talking and wearing clothes. You must’ve hated the original films then? This is something they’ve always done and you should’ve realized this rebooted franchise would be leading to this? I dunno this comment just confuses me.

Agreed about Serkis especially but all things considered, there's always the possibility that he can come back to play a different mocap role in these movies.Liked that trailer a lot. Reeves and Serkis will be missed but really hope this series can keep its quality throughout.
