Kingsman: The Secret Service

How many here had a problem with the joke at the end? It didn't land for me, but I did not find it offensive. I found it to be just another spoof of the cliche love interest in all Bond films. The Roger Moore films were far the worst when it came to their love scenes.
I am going to be honest. I found the princess a bit too attractive to get annoyed. But really, it just felt like another bit of fun poked at Bond.

I liked the action in this movie a lot, but I wasnt a fan of the way it was shot. It was like the cameraman had turrets or spasms. Its like in that gif up there. There is no good reason for the camera to be wobbling. Its about as bad as shaky cam. Had I watched this in 3D I probably would have puked due to motion sickness.:funny:

Great movie, tho!:up: Very much looking forward to the sequel!

Mathew Vaughn has become one of my favorite directors.

I loved it personally, we Northern Brits love crude humour so it made me and my friends laugh. And hey, we got to see a hot girls ass!

I wasn't "offended" but I found it kind of sophomoric. The movie seems like it builds up a budding "thing" with Eggsy and Roxy, and then Eggsy runs off to have buttsex with random princess.

Watched on blu-ray last night, (unfortunately missed it at the cinema, although wanted to see it), absolutely loved it, 10/10.

Vaughn is fast becoming one of Britain's most important directors.

Would be awesome for a sequel, but obviously would have to be an original story, not taken from any source material.

Perhaps, an old 'estate' nemisis comes back to haunt Eggsy, in

Kingsmen 2 : Golden chav

I know I am quite late to the party on this movie but I just saw it today and wow. I love Mathew Vaughn's inventiveness and ballsy creative instincts. Can we get him to direct every movie from now on?

I wasn't in the slightest. People need to stop being offended so easily. **** political correctness and the SJWs trying to push it on the entertainment industry.

I didn't laugh at the butt sex joke, but I didn't mind it either.

Funny or not anyone who was truly bothered by that joke probably says more about them than the film.

It spoofed and exaggerated every aspect of Bond lore so it did flow with the rest of the film.

This movie has got the honor of being the first movie that will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray:

It was also confirmed by the Ultra HD Alliance that the first Ultra HD Blu-ray disc will be Kingsman.
There was no news from Panasonic, who had hoped to be the first company to release an Ultra HD Blu-ray player.
There was no official word on pricing but we were told back in May that we could expect UHD players to cost "two to three times" the price of existing, comparable Blu-ray players.
We will update this story with more details and pictures, as we get them.

They have been writing it for a while so they can make that date. Vaughn did FC very fast and that turned out great. I am not fearing anything just yet.

It has nothing to do with the time it takes to make the movie.

It has to do with the amount of competition that is out during summer months.

Ah right, I see your point, but Kingsman made over $400 million WW itself.

We'll see what else has that slot. Kingsman was more of a sleeper over here. He did say he wanted to delve into the American version of the agency, so if he gets a decent A-lister or something it may work. I know Wright snagged Jon Hamm for Baby Driver but it would be awesome if he was the American equivalent of Firth's character.

Nah, but he's a face to an extent. He's only done a handful of flicks and only starred in one. He just came to mind.

Nah, but he's a face to an extent.

Maybe in the US but most people in Europe would only know him if they watched MM. I personally don't know anyone who does. I think someone bigger than Hamm would be needed personally for what you are saying.

Haha, like a Tom Cruise. That would be a hilarious get.

yeah with limited competition and great legs.

Around the June release date you have Star Wars Ep 8, Wonder Woman, Despicable Me 3, Cars 3. While Despicable Me 3 and Cars 3 dont exactly sharea similar audience per say I think that could hurt it a little. But definetly Star Wars 8 and Wonder Woman are a problem.

ANd then in July theres Pirates 5 (last movie made a billion) the first week and War of the Planet of the Apes (last movie made 700 mill).

Kingsman had a good run because, if I remember correctly it's biggest competition was 50 Shades which was front loaded like hell and didnt really share the same audience.

Well not that level, someone more like Chris Evans, not him specifically, but at level, I.e, recognised around the world.

Althought I would love to see more Chris Evans in movies, I dont think he would be a much better choice that Jon Hamm in the scenario you guys are talking about.

The first one was released early on in the year, where there wasn't a lot of competition. That's quite different from trying to release it in the middle of the summer blockbuster season. Heck even WB and Marvel have started releasing their CBM's at different times of the year (and spreading them out) for precisely that reason.

June is a terrible month to release Kingsman. The film played on being the main and only real action film early in the year. It will be competing with too many blockbusters and get lost in the shuffle. August 2017 is currently an empty spot with the only notable film of that month Pacific Rim, and it is tentatively there (very much doubt the film is going to be made atp).

I agree with all of this, but Kingsman will also have a lower budget than these movies and need less to make a profit, I do think there are better places for it to be released but the movie has plenty of fans now.

I didn't mean Evans specifically, but someone as famous as him, not quite a-list, but recognisable around the world.
