Kingsman: The Secret Service

Kingsman was a gamble for fox that payed off.

many thought they were crazy releasing this as counterprograming to fifty shades of grey. They thought it would get killed.yet it did 400 million WW and sequel here we come.
Although question is will Matthew Vaughn return. He does have flash Gordon on his plate.

If Matthew Vaughn doesn't return it could become a Kick-Ass scenario, where Vaughn makes a great small movie and the second movie fails to live up to it.

That said, he's too busy to do a sequel any time soon.

I wonder what kind of villain they'll come up with? Samuel L. Jackson and Sofia Boutella were both great, so it's going to be interesting to see how they try and top that.

I'd say no guarantee Flash Gordon gets made. It is Flash Gordon.

Awesome news, just hope Vaughn comes back, though him still being a producer if he doesn't would do.

Finally saw this... oh my this was amazing. So many great things, action, homages, and nods.

The 'save the world/butt sex' joke might be the best ending for a hero of all time.

I was more surprised at how Badass Jack Davenport was than Colin Firth.

Once again Mark Strong did another solid Scottish accent. I've never heard Strong do a bad accent and his done a lot of different ones throughout his career.

I could see guys like Dan Stevens, John Hurt and Hugh Laurie being Kingsman.

John Hurt would be a great replacement for Michael Caine's character. Or Ian McKellen or Patrick Stewart.

I could see Michael Fassbender as a Kingsman. Lots of cool UK actors they could get onboard in this.

Bought the bluray and now waiting for it to come. I did see a bootleg copy yesterday. Laawd.

Also, any more news about the sequel? Vaughn seems real busy.

Got the BD on the way, can't wait to see this again, one of the most enjoyable and fun movies this year.

This is probably my favorite movie to have come out in the last year or so. Loved the comic as well.

Rented today.

Man. All through the movie I was thinking "Is Zack Synder involved in this?" I find out he's not.

It had that stylistic "Kick-Ass" violence and sense of humor to it.

The way they get rid of all the Valentine collaborators was twisted lol.

The snowy fortress was a nice send up of evil villain lairs.

and that ending....

The ending was nice too

What an ending

;)

It's just such a fun movie, Vaughn is just a great film maker and I hope he is involved in the sequel.

Who else here was bummed when Vaughn wasn't given the new Star Wars movies?
He was in consideration for them but lost out (disclaimer I'm not ragging on Abrams, just saying I prefer Matthew Vaughn).
I've loved each of the movies he's directed and has a great track record as a producer (with one obvious exception which shall not be named).
I love that him and Mark Millar came up with the idea while out at a pub one night.

I love how they used the song Free Bird in this film and the colorful head explosions.... so well done!

Re-watching this its just as fun at home as it was on the big screen, the church scene is still unbelievable and the action in general is great. It's just such a fun movie and SLJ was the best here he has been for a good while.

Was there a sequel to the comics? I am just curious what direction the sequel will go with and I really hope Vaughn is heavily involved. Though if he can still get KA3 off the ground I think he will chose that.

still has one of the best final scenes in recent movies ;)
