Sequels Kitty Pryde movie in the works

We don't know that, though. Disney has a lot, lot more to make back in this buy out. Feige himself has already acknowledged the value of using the Fox brand to make things that don't fit into the MCU/Marvel Studios brand.

Even Feige making one more movie a year isn't going to make a significant dent into what Disney is spending.

One problem is that films released under the FOX brand are tied to an existing pay TV deal with HBO. Marvel Studio films can go directly from the big screen to the new Disney streaming service launching next year. The Mouse has an incentive to move as much product as possible away from the Fox brand after the deal is complete

At this point in time the shuffle with New Mutants, X-Force continuing, Kitty announcement etc this could all be the workings of the Fox/Marvel deal happening. Everyone saying why would Feige inherit what Fox is doing, he wouldn’t inherit it if he’s involved with it, which is what def and I are trying to say. These deals and character spin offs etc could be happening by Marvel as introductions into the MCU just as Sony did with Spider-Man.

I hardly doubt it.

I hardly doubt it.
And why is that? Care to elaborate?

You’ve said it yourself if Fox wreck a lot of this stuff then Marvel won’t wanna touch it, so by that logic Disney could easily put a deal between Marvel and Fox for the next two years to secure their investment. It would be a smart business move. And we know already there’s been a good working collab now with Gifted and Legion.

If Disney are spending all this money to acquire Fox and all their properties, don’t you think one of the major things for Marvel is the X-Men and F4? There is nothing to say that Marvel aren’t already in the mix with Fox developing these projects and working to incorporate them into the world.

I really doubt Kitty would be the first MCU X-Men related film. MCU would probably start working with Fox once the regulators approved the deal.

MCU probably has their own plans for the X-Men and I doubt they are sharing that to Fox as of now.

If the Fox deal is approved, I also don't think this movie will be made as is. That being said, I don't think a Tim Miller X-Men project is outside the realm of possibility so I don't think this would be necessarily wasted effort.

If it doesn't bode well with mcu's plan it wouldn't go anywhere.

Now that Disney owns majority stake in Hulu (Comcast through NBC/Universal owns 30% and as of 2016 Timewarner now owns 10%) I wonder if they will make this Disney service more of an add-on that can be packaged with or without Hulu?

Hulu also has a bunch of subscription add-ons at the moment including HBO, showtime, and cinemax. What this means exactly time will tell I suppose.

I still can't believe this was announced

Now I'd like an update on what they have in store for Rogue and Gambit. :funny:

It wasn't really announced and there's no guarantee it gets made. Until the regulatory deal goes through, Fox has to go on making films and do business as usual.

Another project that Feige will promptly kill once the Disney/Fox deal gets finalized.

With Gambit losing a director again and the New Mutants being delayed. This can't be good for the Foxverse films especially with Disney's deal being approved in the not so distant future.

This is the beginning of the end. And this film would be one of its many casualties.

the prequels and spinoffs would all take a hard blow, except for deadpool.

They aren't appealing enough and they seem to be coming out of nowhere.

comic book movies are in fatigue mode. MCU movies are becoming less appealing so the team up thing seems to be a tactic to meet the appeal.

Truth is ,a Kitty Pryde movie if done well and treated as an independent project will be more appealing than another MCU formula movie in the long list of how many now? We all know MCU X-Men will end up like a GOTG movie.

A Tim Miller Prdye movie will likely be better than the very first MCU X-Men movie. creative thinking and directorial approach is key here, something MCU movies are lacking. that lack of creative thinking is the one reason the MCU X-Men like Spiderman Homecoming will fall short of what Fox already did with Logan, DOFP, X2, Deadpool to name a few. The beginning of the end for X-Men will start with the first X-Men MCU GOTG type of movie.

For the Disney deal to take full effect and for the first X-Men MCU film to debut, it will be 5 years away. truth is

X-Force
Multiple Man
Tim Millers Kitty Pryde

All can still be made, They will afterall be the last true X-Men movies until X-Men turns into disney cgi childish nonsense.

Other films that are in progress need to stop getting delayed if we're likely to get ones that are only just being announced.

I hope we get answers on this stuff by the time New Mutants and Deadpool 2 come out.

Kitty Pryde ain't happening till 2020 or 2021 at the earliest. Honestly, here is what I hope happens. Marvel/Disney realizes (as anyone should) that the X-Men franchise is vast, marketable and can have their own brand. We get all these X-films under a new X-Men Marvel label, which can still be open for big event crossovers in the MCU if need be. Like say Secret Wars or whatever but also lend for more adult flicks and darker tones with Deadpool and Wolverine. Everyone wins.

Miller has a great relationship with Marvel/Disney, preferably I'd want a Kitty Pryde film to have a life beyond a one shot. Or I would love a Kitty Pryde film to lead to her joining a new cast with present time X-Men. That probably would be my favorite route.

What I don't want is Fox at the last minute grasping for whatever they can only to have everything cut off. That's dumb and I don't think that will happen. They sold and made a deal.

Exactly, I think that would have worked better. what many MCU fans dont get is. Marvel was already Marvel before the MCU and the MCU while it has been good for their B list proprieties like Iron Man and Avengers, it is bad for the A list properties like Spiderman and X-Men because both spiderman and xmen can more than carry their own franchise and dont need any strategic help or cinematic ties in to succeed. Spiderman and X-Men always worked better as a separate world, their comic stories and movies are also a lot stronger for it to the point that they had a sub universe inside the marvel universe.

Disney sees Marvel as only the MCU and they tried to shove it down into everything else and flopped at it, their comic sales collapsed once disney started turning it to match the MCU movies , their recent cartoon-animations which was modeled after the MCU was a mess, extremely bad and now about to be cancelled, all of them. their last gaming effort, MvC4. a game already facing backlash due to the black listing of X-Men and F4 characters was a disaster also.. everything stamped with the MCU product has done badly in other mediums and in movies, it is beginning to catch up to them because once people look past the appeal of a cinematic universe, the MCU movies leave a lot to be desired for. Most are all awful if we were to look at them as real legitimate movies in the same sense of what X-Men 2000 did for superhero movies coming into the new millennium and for the most part maintained now at the end with Logan. MCU movies are laughable when you compare the content, longevity and quality to the best of what Fox did.

Putting X-Men in the MCU helps MCU but hurts X-Men just like it did with Spiderman. Disney should keep them separate and get a cross over once in a while just like the comics. X-Men deserves to have their own world that feels like their own, where they battle their world ending mutant struggle issues, have their daily soap opera dramas. the way it is in the comics. its laughable to think X-Men is now constantly stuck in a world where everything is now a light hearted feel Disney almost sing along comedy with things exploding every five minutes .

I wouldn't be surprised if its forgotten like the F4 sequel that got a release date.

Please just look at all the backlash, fatigue and loss of credibility that the genre is in due to MCU movies, a far cry from the Days of X2 and TDK. the fascination with New Mutants and the sucess of Deadpool and Logan was more about people rebelling against MCU cgi formula movies. we know who these movies are catered towards.

You want it one way and it’s not that way.

You are speaking straight up nonsense.
