BvS Knightmare question

So, for those who have already seen the film, is the Knightmare explained?

That is, is it explained, or hinted at, why Bruce is seeing the (a) future?

The things we're seeing in it make it obvious that it's not just a manifestation of Bruce's fears, given the presence of things like [BLACKOUT]Paradeamons and the giant ass Omega symbol, and certain rumored cameos,[/BLACKOUT] but something more.

Bruce doesn't have any precognitive abilities, so what is giving him these visions? Don't answer that, I don't want specifics, I am just curious whether or not an explanation is given, or at least hinted at.

Nope, not explained at all. It's a bunch of incoherent nonsense that is going to confuse a lot of people.

The explanation may as well be "a wizard did it", for all the sense it makes in the movie.
