Kong: Skull Island - Part 2

I don't know for sure but I'm guessing this Kong is about 150 (ish) tall in his present form. As someone else said, he is supposed to be an adolescent in skull island, so he'll prolly be close to a 100' taller by the time the vs film rolls around.
There is also the strength he will have. A gorilla is like ten times stronger than a man, so what kong lacks in size, he'll make up for in brute strength and ability.

No I am saying have Godzilla lose to Kong would be a be a bad financial move. And dumb as a box of rocks.

I am sure around 90% of people going to see the movie will want Godzilla to win the fight and kick King Kong ass. If Godzilla gets own in the movie and loss the fight people will be angry and tell others not to see the movie.

Are you saying he's too big or too small? Im pretty sure he's similar in size to the new zilla.

Too small. Godzilla easily towers over skyscrapers. Kong, from the looks of it, is half that size.

Kong is a primate. He'll be able to climb and he will be more agile and faster than Godzilla. That more than makes up for the size difference.

Yeah, I think some of you guys are severely underestimating Kong.

Do you guys think they'll go the BvS route and have Kong and Godzilla team up at the end to take on a bigger threat or the Freddy vs. Jason route where there's a clear winner between the two?

Coming soon this summer 1962!

Well, when Godzilla has faced off against planet destroying monsters, oxygen destroying monsters, monsters with regenerative powers on-par with Wolverine while Kong has faced off against over-sized Dinosaurs, can you really blame us?

You're assuming Legendary's Godzilla is exactly the same movement and power wise than all the other ones.

While he may not be as powerful as Heisei Godzilla, he took an atomic Nuke point-blank in G14. I'd say that's pretty powerful. I'm sure Kong could team-up with Godzilla against Ghidorah but I have a hard time imagining him taking on Goji. Especially when he's about to take on King Ghidorah in two years.

I don't think it's been 100% confirmed exactly which one (or if all of them) will appear in King Of Monsters.

Personally, I still like the idea of saving Ghidorah for a possible Godzilla 3.

Godzilla's size and mass is actually as much a hinderance as it is an advantage. Godzilla is too slow and lumbering to catch Kong in his jaws or with his arms. His long tail isnt fast and its damn near useless against Kong in a major city. Too many buildings would get in the way. His atomic breath is pretty useless too when Kong can just put buildings in between himself and Godzilla. If Kong climbs a building and jumps on Godzilla's back or gets to Godzilla's head from a building there wouldnt be a whole lot that Godzilla could do. Godzilla's only real hope then is that he gets lucky and manages to grab one of Kong's hands or arms in his jaws when Kong is on Godzilla beating the **** out of Godzilla's face. In an open area Godzilla might fair better but again Kong's own natural speed and agility would allow him to dodge tail swipes and atomic breath and bites.

Godzilla's one true advangate is his body is built like a brick **** house. His eyes are about the only really vulnerable spot on his body. And his mass is enough that Kong wont be able to push him around easily.

You are forgetting Mechni Kong.

Which is a cool possibility for G v KK. Fighting their mechanical selves...

Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan will all be in Godzilla 2, guarantee it. Legendary would not have announced them so early (in 2014) if they didn't plan on using them until 2023.

The guy directing G2 already confirmed Mothra. I bet Rodan will be next and then Ghidorah

There was a rumour that Mechagodzilla was in the script when Gareth Edwards was going to direct.

I'm not sure, I don't think there was much elaboration other than the fact that it was the planned antagonist for the film when Gareth Edwards was still onboard. This is before Dougherty came in and wrote his own draft though, so I'm not sure if that'll be included or not.

Still hope they go with Gareth's "Destroy All Monsters" idea somewhere down the line.

I would absolutely love it if they have mankind build a mech of sorts to help fight against the kaijus. Something like gaiking.
Just one, not a fleet of them like in PR.
