The Russo brothers have offered a simple solution. "Prior to the start of that scene, escape ships were deployed for Asgardians," Joe Russo explained, "including Valkyrie." He refused to shed any light on the ultimate fate of Korg, but at least this comment suggested Asgardians were able to launch escape pods.

So is it possible we see them back again? How great would that be...

Like many fans, I want to see Korg in future films. Kevin Feige said that he has plans for them when Ragnarok came out. However, Markus and McFeely rather snidely said that fans should "pray for them" when asked if Korg and Miek they survived Thanos' attack. Feige is the ultimate authority, of course, so he has the last word on the subject (I hope!).

Before the Disney+ shows were announced, I had hoped that Korg & Miek would be featured in a new Marvel One-Shot short film. But there are several other options for them. They could appear in GOTGv3 since they're space based. Sif's Disney+ show would be a good place for them to show up since the two warriors make great Asgardian allies. And who knows, maybe Feige will launch some animated shows with CGI-heavy characters like Korg & Miek and Rocket & Groot.

It was great seeing them again. “Feel free to log into the WiFi, there’s beer in the basket...” Korg is such a nice soul.

And there they where in the final battle standing next to Valkyrie in front of the asgardian army.
