I just feel that this move is a bad idea and really should have been taken out. I think that level whatever Lex had going on having people Clark fought regain their powers would have been a better idea then this. Lana IMO should only have a child by Pete and even though we know the child will not be born I still feel this is a bad move on their part.

Nice MAJOR arse spoiler in the thread title ya got there, All Star.

We all know the child won't live and that she(Lana) probably dies during the birth. In the comics and movies, Lana and Lex don't have a kid. If I am wrong...please correct me.

Its not a spoiler Pat we've all known this for about a month or more now the only thing is some of us didn't think it would really happen so back off.

No youre not the only one who feels that way, but you are apparenlty the only one who feels your opinion of it deserves it's own thread.

And yeah this is a pretty damn big spoiler to post in a title, considering most of the people in Europe that come here wont see the episode until early next year.

dude, what about the non regular to the SV forum, it's a spoiler, shame on you.

uh, I don't really care, the baby will die or something will happen. It's too ridiculous. Maybe it's Zod's baby? Bwhahaha, that'd be jokes

I see but its okay for Arach Knight to ask Am I the only one who likes Green Arrow or Fangrl06 to ask her is it me or do you get the feeling that blonde gril is Supergirl? :whatever:

Look this is a SV forum and I am asking a question if the title of thread you feel contains to much of a spoiler then I'll ask the mods to fix it.

There is no continuity within Smallville and the comics, anything is possible? Maybe she has the baby and dies and Lex somehow blames Clark for it, great way for them to begin thier future as eachothers greatest enemy.

True but why do it??? I mean it is a dumb idea IMO when SV has a hard enough time sticking to its own continuity. I mean what is the reason behind all of this??? To make Lex into what his father use you be? I think this idea should have been left alone. I mean I just think they could have done something better then what they are doing.

^^^I agree totally, I know I'm gonna catch flack for this, but I do believe Lana has run her course in Smallville and she actually annoys me in all her scenes. I'm just trying to make sense out of non-sense really, I have no idea where they are going with this?

Oh yeah and another thing that truly annoys me is, and correct me if i'm wrong, Lois picked up a 20lb dumbell like it weighed 20 ounces, then swang hard enough to supposedly break GL's ribs? Come on! GL has to be the deafest(word?) superhero out there, how many times can Lois sneak up on him and also outfox him(getting his bow away from him)?

My thing is what purpose can this baby serve? Hell they already gave Lex a kid in the comics twice(Lena and Perry's son) and we see how that worked out. The only thing he cared about was Superboy and only reason why he cared about Superboy because that was his ticket for taking over the world. I just don't understand why they did because it doesn't help with what they are doing to Lana and for Lex this is the best we've seen him having him turn soft again only weakens what they have done already.

the kid will never come to be, so it doesnt have to "serve" a purpose. It's the pregnancy that's going to bring about the drama both in it's inception which we're seeing now, and then when it terminates...

But whats the point to or is this SV way of saying once again everything comes from Lana the fall of Lex and the rise of Superman.

I dont think her pregnancy and eventually losing it is going to cause "the fall of Lex and the rise of Superman," I think it may be another notch on the ladder to Lex's demise if anything, but I think your overestiamting the significance of this, especially as far as Clark is concerned

Lana should DIE during childbirth, and Lex would make it seem that the child didnt survive, even though the baby was born. Lex secretly gives it up for adoption and covers it up for years until the final episode with flashes 10 years into the future.... we can see Clark discovering Lex's long lost daughter which resembles Lana.

Either that...

Or kill both the child and Lana off together. I don't want to see Lana emotionally screwed up for another season over losing her child.

Amen to that!

I second that. All the more reason why this is a bad idea they screwed Lana up so much at least let her go out on a high note instead of losing a child then finding out about Clark only to lose him as well.

You cant complain its not on par with the comics. The postcrisis Lana is a major loser too.

Bryne made sure of that.

The only likeable Lana was the precrisis versions and of course how Annette played it in Superman III

Post Crisis Lana was fine until Austin got his hands on her then it all went down hill from there.:csad:

It doesnt matter. In the realm of Superman, Lana is a minor footnote at best.

Whether she has a child or not really means nothing in the big picture.

Besides, in the Smallville version I could see Chloe ending up with Pete Ross instead. They really need to bring him back in season 7 as part of the main cast. They could do some good storylines with his relations between Clark and Lex, given Pete may be destined to be Lex's running mate.

My thought proccess is this: anything that takes away from SIT and Lex's rise to evil story line is just wasting time.

If you eliminate all the drama and romance and stuff, the show would lose half its audience.

Well once again I feel we're going to get another half-ass subplot(season 4 witch plot) and then only to have it never brought up again.

why would you want them to bring up the witch plot again? It ran it's course in Season 4
