Has Lex Aquired A Secret Power?

after watching last nights episode, which got a 69% from me, Did anyone get the feeling that Lex has some sort of mind power.

It was that last scene with Lana, where she pulls yet another 180 degree turn, and tells lex she'll marry him.

She seemed pretty set on not getting married right away. Then Lex shows up. This is what gets me. In the background of that scene, the music turned from melodrama, to that creepy x-filesesque spidery music (just as Lex is convincing lana)... then all of a sudden, she's like YES, I'll marry YOu.

Did anyone else notice the creepy music, and wonder if it has a meaning. I feel that Lex may have gained a power from his work on the freaks of the week. Some sort of mind control power, or atleast the power of suggestion.


It's either that, or Lana is a full blown psycho. She's 180'd a lot in the last couple of episodes: is this because Lana has brain defect, or is it because of some exterior force, affecting her decision making.

*note, I didn't put this in the episode thread, because I don't want it getting lost in the endless pages of death.

Naw, it was just rebound from being rejected by Clark.

She poured her heart out to him, and he basically told her to stay with Lex. She is hurting, so she accepted his proposal.

it still doesn't address the use of the very eerie music in the background of lex's 'speech' to her. I found it to be very strange, I also found Lana's total flip around (like the 10th time, in 10 episodes) to be strange
