BvS Larry Fong is the cinematographer!

Watching the trailer for the 20th time, I thought, "man Marvel needs to get some better DPs."

I hope the success of this movie makes Marvel (and other studios that make other movies) more comfortable letting their directors shoot on film again instead of being tied to digital. Film still looks better than even the best digital.

Yep, this will definitely look better than MOS.

That shot with the stars on the night sky is beautiful.

I am really curious about this one, by the way:

could be Themyscira

Yeah, I have a little theory about this... I believe that three quick shots we see - diving underwater, horse riders in a pristine nature and Wayne's being shot and buried (technically, these are two shots, but within same context) are all sort of flashbacks or rather three character's origins shown in a quick manner - Aquaman's, Wonder Woman's and Batman's.

It reminds me of that lovely panel drawn by Fabok from current "Darkside War" where we see (almost) all JL members as children in their respective surroundings.

I'd post it, but can't seem to find it right now.

Edit:

Ah, here it is:

The new trailer looks like it has a white overtone to it. Weird.

I thought the cinematography in the trailer looked really weird. Some scenes appeared to be colorful, others as desaturated as MOS, and some very reminiscent of Watchmen. It's likely it'll all blend together well once we see everything in context, but right now, I can't say that I'm a fan.

None of it was as desaturated as MOS.

If you say so.

It was bro and to me that's was one of the criticism I had with the movie. Not a huge deal but I would've preferred it with a bit more colour. I forget the DP from MOS but Larry Fong is so much better.

are you basing this on the colour timing? Surely not considering Amir shoots bay movies and they are mega saturated.
If this is based on color.

I absolutely loved the cinematography in MOS, but Fong is just amazing. These shots are fantastic, and this film will surely be one of the most beautiful CBM's visually. I'm glad he's on board.

Also, the only problem with that comparison pic is that it isn't the same frame of the film. It's close, but with all of the smoke and debris by it makes it hard to compare. It does appear to have been changed, however.
