BvS Larry Fong is the cinematographer!

Larry is a funny guy, hes pretty much the only person that actually interacts with fans. Though if you ask him a stupid question he will absolutely make you know how stupid you are lol

I dunno, if Fong was an artist confident in his work, he wouldn't feel the need to respond to this crap. In my opinion, Fong's continued grudge is just as in bad taste as the original VideoLab garbage. He is just legitimizing the complaints by responding to them.
He didn't do the cinematography on MOS, He's just sticking up for a fellow artist. But when you get idiot's repeatedly sending him and telling him how MOS should've looked well then of course he would respond. Larry's also having a bit of fun trollin' these guy's. :funny:

How does defending someone else's work imply that he's not confident in his own work or give legitimacy to a video that factually doctored footage to make their point?

I know he didn't do the cinematography on Man of Steel, but the point still stands that it is kind of coming off as vindictive and insecure at this point. A couple of sarcastic tweets at the start were fine, but seasoned professionals don't dwell on crap like this for this long. They take it as a given that some people don't like their work, or what people think is their work, and move on.

Because replying to it over and over again implies that the concerns expressed are worth of a response, which is why seasoned professionals in the film industry usually don't respond to this sort of stuff. They have thick skins and don't need the validation. Fong, to me, is just coming off petty and insecure now. He is just giving the VideoLab idiots more exposure. The less you respond to stuff like this, the quicker it is forgotten and fades away.

Someone involved with the movies finally responded to the haters, making fun of them on twitter, showing them how dumb they really are and that means he's insecure ? :D If anything, that's the way of shutting them up.

The internet loves doing this. They tear "famous" people apart with tons of offensive comments, and once that person gets pissed and says something, everybody goes "WOW HE'S SO UNPROFESSIONAL".

Because it's true. Dealing with nuts is part of the job description, just as it is with mine, and the professional thing is to ignore it.

Dropped Larry a tweet...and he replied with the following:

@ZackSnyder @larryfong any chances of a "moody" shot like this in BvS? #Batfleck #BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice

.@mwhip79 @ZackSnyder Not any more. We sent it to VideoLab; now it looks like an episode of ’Teletubbies’. I sense higher ticket sales
:lmao:

sorry
No
Nothing in the cinematographer's job description says: Must deal with internet nut jobs

MOS wasn't his work. He's sticking up for a colleague and friend. Someone made a video that made his job look so easy that anyone with editing not software could do it when it was a total lie. Of course he's going to respond. I'm surprised more in the field haven't responded.

Because most professionals know better to not give amateurs the time of day. There's a reason why they're in the field and others are not.

yeah but this wasn't a small jab the amateurs took....everyone and the trades posted that video...

Which is why the first couple of tweets were probably appropriate, but it is a week later and he is still bringing the incident up for no reason and, in response, to unrelated questions from fan asking positive things.

Wasn't the video mostly kind of funny? No need to be rude to some dudes having fun with a movie he wasn't officially involved in.

There were some bold statements about why it was wrong, pointing fingers despite they are changing the original color, making it colorless and making their version seems like LSD trip, claiming it should look like that.

Professionals can't stand arrongance of ignorant amateurs.

Larry Fong = Batman
Videolab = Robin

To be honest, the cinematography is at least a third of the reason I want to see this movie.

We need more footage. I really want to see Larry Fong slay the imagery.

Some of the shots looked like MOS, others looked like Super 8, and still others had that classic Zack Snyder look.
