BvS Larry Fong is the cinematographer!

I'm very happy with the visual look I saw in the trailer.

I don't think the visual look QUITE matches Watchmen, but that's understandable because Watchmen is arguably the best looking film that happens to be in the superhero genre.

Tell me, now when some time has passed, what is the overall reaction to the trailer? Is it really positive?

I do not dare to read comments again, as they really pissed me off the last time.
Well on twitter when it got leaked they jump into conclussions earlier and some took advantage to hate and spread it (they're noisy), but once the trailer hit the web on HD, the reaction was mostly possitive and many thanked Larry Fong for how they present some nice scenes on the trailer.

As I've said there are some noicy ones that wanted the Marvel style and complain eventhought Daredevil has gritty and realistic tone and just were really funny because they contradicted themselves like some saying why are they fighting? that can't happen but have Civil War on their side :lmao:

But those are the vast minority, overall it was really nice received eventhought was first leaked in lq. And I noticed that many that complained then started to love the trailer. As I've said, jumping into conclussions earlier when the trailer didn't even hit in HD. :funny:

It has strong elements to 300, Watchmen visually in what we have seen so far ... slightly less stylized or strictly adapted but just very TDK Returns inspired in many of the images / tone we'e seen.

That is very good news.

And I think that leaked trailer could have done much damage, as it looked very dark and depressive indeed and many people failed to take the fact that it is a bootleg into equation. Good call from WB to release HD version earlier.

And yeah, the problem is that you can't make out who simply doesn't like it and who is a Marvel fan that feels obligated to hate on it.

Yes, and you can really think that it was because the poor quality of the leak. On HD you noticed that it wasn't like that. And therefore many, many people changing their views on the teaser when HD arrived.

That's good, that's very good.

I do hope that next trailer will show the "brighter" side of this world (maybe from Supes' viewpoint as juxtaposition to viewpoint of all those people on him in this trailer), so that "it is grimdark" talk could finally be silenced or at least made less prominent.

My only concern is that the film will feel small. Someone described one of Snyder's other movies as claustrophobic, and I think it's a pretty accurate description. I'm not worried about it right now, though. There was nothing in the trailer that set off any warning bells.

I think the reason why Snyder's other movies may feel claustrophobic is because he mostly just uses green screen or movie sets intead of on location filming.

The camera angle used for the day of the dead part of the trailer reminds me of this scene from watchmen.

What are you smoking? Seriously, it looks like garbage. Completely unnatural. It doesn't even look like a real film. Horrible claustrophobic, green screen sound stages are not how you make film. Get outside and shoot on location. You cannot beat it.

Agreed. I remember how stunned I was when I watched it for the first time. Excellent style and gorgeous visuals.

I'm not sure anything will silence that criticism because those people will always go back and bring up MOS.

It's a 2 hour+ movie. They're going to have brighter upbeats. "Dawn of Justice" is a positive title that's literally about things getting brighter.

If the story is as good as the visuals I'll be happy.

Larry Fong is the king, oh he is Larry King.

Fun fact: I introduced JJ and Zack over 25 years ago. We were young, and didn't know what the future held. Never give up on your dreams.

WHAT'S IN THE BOOOXXX!?
