To think it's been since 2010 that this film has been in development. And I'm finally seeing it tomorrow. Feels like yesterday since Zack Snyder was announced as director.

I know... it's so weird remembering all the thoughts I had back then, and comparing them to what we actually have.

Back then I was adamant that trunks should stay, that there should be no Superman origin without Lex Luthor, that Zod would be a really awful choice for a villain, and that Lois Lane had to have dark hair

Just goes to show how much our opinions can be changed as long as the final product is quality and exciting.

TBH, what it looks like we have is better than anything I would have imagined in terms of the scale of it.

I mean, I remember when everyone thought that the Smallville fight was the final showdown... people actually thought that one small town fight scene would be the biggest in scale this movie would get, and that it'd be really similar to the Thor fight...

How wrong they were! This is just so huge compared to that!

P.S. Would you pop in here and just tell me how you feel after seeing it? I don't want details or spoilers, so i'm pretty much avoiding most of the other threads, but i'd love to hear your excitement after having seen it

It was never as depressing as it sounds, was just about heroes sacrifices like Superman at the end of Allstar or Buffy at the end of season 5.

But the word suicide just holds such a negative meaning I didn't wanna come across as an angsty person any more.

It's sad that depression, a condition that affects millions worldwide, still carries such a stigma -- even today. Even if you were an angsty person (not suggesting that's the case), there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. You're sweet either way.

As have I. Yeah, I think that's why some people look for different ways to express whatever it is that might be going on for them. They're not necessarily trying to make a statement. They just want someone to get it.
