Leaning Tower of Pisa - Again.

I was just thinking of the parallels between Superman 3 and Spider-man 3 and how (if he gets the symbiote and it makes him bad) they would both turn bad in the 3rd installment.
I don't know if that has been discussed or not, but the point is this:

You remember in Superman 3 - the Leaning Tower of Pisa guy right?
How he was making the towers leaning - not leaning - leaning again.

I thought, it might be funny to see some guy selling spiderman "stuff" - dolls or something in RED and BLUE - and then when spidey gets the Black outfit - the guy gets pissed and has to redo all his stuff.

Then of course the suit goes back R&B and the guy gets really angry and destroys everything he has!

I don't know, it seemed like a funny idea. :)

I think that would be hillarious.

Just for the record that quote doesn't belong to me.

Not a bad idea

I can definitely see Stan Lee playing the role of the guy with the Spider-man dolls

It's just plagiarism.
Reusing a joke from a Superman film is cheap and pointless.
Raimi already stole the running-towards-camera-opening-shirt thing anyway.
It's called a homage you dolt. Raimi obviously intended for there to be striking similarity between the two scenes. It wasn't a lack of creativity on the part of Raimi or the writers; it was a fun, semi-subtle tribute to a previous great superhero film.

God, some ********* fanboys really need to grab both ears and pull their heads out.

It would only work were it the I Kid You Not Guy and after he goes back to red and blue he walks up to Spidey and says

"The next time you change your suit, you fail this course...I kid you not!"

What about the Butch Cassedy "Rain drops" scene in Spider-Man2

or in Mission Impossible 2 when he puts a mask of a face on a tied up villain to trick another villain? That was done in Sam Raimi's "Darkman" before hand?

I think if the gag was done it would be obviously a reference to Superman

thank you very very much! I don't get where the rule is that says any similarities between 2 things automatically means cheating/stealing/plaguirism/etc.

I know it's a homage you snivelling turd.

"Stole" was meant as a joke. Reusing the Leaning Tower of Pisa joke from the Superman film is what I was calling cheap and pointless.
