Yea I look at the Joker and imagen his voice as a mix of Frank White and Butcher Bill.

hm, call me crazy. but everytime i look at bermejo's joker, i always imagine his voice being mike patton when he does his "freak out voice" as heard in the songs by fantômas.

faith no more? Mr bungle? never heard of them. Ain't into that sort of stuff. Are they old school? Or new bands? Because i hate all the new rock music that is out these days.

I read it last night, I thought it was great, I'm gonna read Lex Luthor: Man of Steel because I loved "Joker" so much.

I don't know about the other's but Faith No More is pretty old. And it's not epic fail to be unaware of them. They're not exactly big hits and I personally think FNM is average at best. *shrug*

Yea man the only rock bands i ever listen to are the doors, jimi hendrix experience, the animals, led zeppelin, motorhead and the newer stuff like artic monkeys and kasabian and that.

:hehe: Thanks.

What do you reckon this Joker listens to? I reckon some trippy ****, maybe Pink Floyd? That's another good band.

I love the art for this one, it's so gritty and awesome, and I really liked the GN, but I honestly can't re read it, don't know why.

:hehe: Imagen when he was slaughtering that old couple he stuck some Prince on or something? :hehe:

well, i'm not their biggest fan also, but calling a band, that pretty much helped creating what we call today "alternative rock", avarage, doesn't seem very right to me. you can't be exactly average in what you created. ^^

but i'm much more a fan of patton's other band-projects. tomahawk really is one of my favorite bands today, it's so delightfully fresh in a world where every alternative group seems to sound the same.

You can if what you created is average on a good day. :oldrazz:

This one post made me go and get Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, I just wanted to thank you for the great read.

tomahawk is great too . i'm a huge fan of anything mike patton does .

I just deciphered the meaning of "Abner" for Penguin. In The Dark Knight Returns, Joker's obese lackey with the bomb-dolls is named Abner (Batman says it before Robin breaks into Abner's apartment which blows up).

It seems this is more an in-joke from Azzarello to Bat-fans than any pun from the Joker. Unless, of course, Joker has somehow read The Dark Knight Returns. :oldrazz:

I thought that guy was supposed to be Humpty-Dumpty.

no, before BM/Robin break into his apartment, Batman says "its the last lead i have...a man named Abner" and then the place explodes and in the next few pages the fatty says to Joker "guess you heard my place went up"

Lex Luthor Man of Steel was awesome, glad someone else noticed that.
