lol have you seen some of the names people give their children? There's much stranger names out there and they're bestowed both in real life and fiction all the time, man. I'm just putting it out there that not everything has a connection, and I personally think this is one of them.

x2. The way it's drawn in the actual book is much better. That drawing is gross. Just as a piece of art, not gross like skinning someone. The lips look terrible, above all.

Anyways, yeah, I loved this book. Not "better" than "The Killing Joke"(and I'm not talking about that recolor crap), but it's right up there.

I'd rank it as a close Second to "The Killing Joke", above "The Man Who Laughs".

Loved the gritty, almost dirty feeling tone of the story. And I can't quite say why, as he is dispicable, but I really liked this Joker. lol

I enjoyed this Book alot.

The Joker was interesting in bits, but I found him to be a lot less charismatic than most other versions of the character, including Heath's, which has always been part of the Joker's charm to me.

Bermejo: "Yeah, regarding the Abner thing, I have NO idea what Brian was going for there. I think he just wanted to try and establish the fact that there is history between these guys, that they have a relationship that isn't completely explored in this book. I'm guessing Abner is just a nickname or something. Doesn't Penguin look like an Abner, though?"

Maybe Brian was thinking of the pig, who knows? But the name is not important.

I found this to be.. well.. I was excited at first because I loved Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, but this was just, idk. The Joker didn't feel like the Joker, he felt like Tony Montana with a Glasgow smile.

I agree that the Joker wasn't the same, but the story and character were well made regardless, however far it strayed.
