Ok, a few updates. First off, the new video "EXPANDING THE MAP" is up on YouTube.
Secondly, after giving it a LOT of thought, I have decided to undertake a massive edit of MATHION. With the book getting more attention than I ever dreamed, I finally reread it to see if I liked it as much as everyone else and...well let's just say that it could be better. The plot will remain the same, but a lot of things need to be fine-tuned: the Old Cénárol dialogue of Elekan (which I love, and I'm actually surprised people haven't talked about it much), the usage of certain words (a perfect example is the interchangeable use of "werewolf/werewolves" and "Kânai/Kânín": in this rewrite, only the characters' dialogue will use "Kânai/Kânín", whereas the narrative proper will use only "werewolf/werewolves"--hope you can follow that!)
Also, I saw a need for more character-development scenes. With a story as big as this, though it is about Mathion, he does have a supporting cast, and all of those guys need to have their due and grow throughout the book.
So with that being said, I have decided to put THE LAST ASCENSION on hold so that I can make MATHION better, and rerelease it as the definitive, "Discovered Edition": complete with Appendices, a new cover and a glossary for those who want to delve deeper into the world behind the story.
Thoughts? If you've read the book (doesn't matter how much) what have you thought of it? I'm really interested to hear others' opinions, as it helps me to become a better writer.
