There has to be more than just the lands they've shown in the first series. Where did that Indian looking guru that helped Aang unblock all his chakras come from ? No one else in the Earth Kingdom , the Water Tribes or Fire Nation had a people that looked like a South Asian like he did. He had to come from somewhere else then.

No where else that they've been, you mean. They explored less than 5% of the world in the series.

That's what I said when I said there has to be more continents than the ones they've shown us.:whatever:

No. There doesn't have to be more continents, they just need to visit different locales within those four continents. Saying that because they've visited some places in the four continents, and didn't come across East Asian-like people, means that the Guru did not come from anywhere we already know about is like visiting a dozen places in Africa, but assuming that there's no white people there (as there are in South Africa).

The Guru was South Asian looking , not East Asian looking. All the other characters looked East Asian and of course the Eskimo looking Water Tribe. The Boers aren't native to African since their ancestors are from the Netherlands.

Details, details. There's nothing to suggest that each continent is only home to one type of person.

I know that all continents in our world are ethnically diverse , but Avatar doesn't seem that have that many. All we've seen so far are East Asians , Eskimos and one South Asian guy. It would be cool to see more ethnic diversity and more cultures.

King Bumi looked fairly Indian to me...

I think even in the opening of the show you see more land masses but it zooms into only the main 4 nations and the continent they recede on.

For all We know we have only seen 25% of world and it's inhabitants.

Iroh says that the people of the Earth Kingdom are diverse. I agree with SuperFerret, in that we just haven't seen many different locales.

I don't really need to see anymore continents or peoples even if there are any, to be honest. There's still plenty to explore within the four nations we know of already. It seems like the creators are going with that idea too, given the talk of Republic City and its politics.

Wow. The trailer is awesome. From the looks of things, Korra seems like more of a badass than Aang. I hope its true. Aang was more of a pacifist so I hope Korra is the opposite.

awesome trailer!! love the more "modern" setting.......

This looks so amazing. I hope it surpasses its predecessor.

The animation completely blew me away....especially for american tv

That's awesome. I think the tricking and/or boxing will belong to the people who can't bend?

Huge expectations for this, "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is one of the greatest series I have ever watched (not animated series or kids series), it's right up there with "The Sopranos", "The Wire", to name a few imho.

Hopefully the Avatar musical theme continues to be used in the series as in the trailer.

The only nitpicking I can think of is that I still think they should have named it "The Last Airbenders", since there's more than one.

The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra
has previously been slated for release in Fall 2011, but was later postponed until the middle of 2012, now, however, two separate sources[1][2] (in a span of a few days) have stated that Korra will be released in 2013. Fans have already begun speculating that it is a rumor or that it is a typo. However, the possibility grows increasingly unlikely as more sources report Legend of Korra is going to be out in 2013, not 2012 as previously reported.
