Legend

I thought it was horrible, i didn't think it was boring i thought it was quite short.
For one what the hell was with all the pixie dust Tom Cruise wore? gross.

The story crippled it, it was just stupid. Along with half of all the characters...
visuals were great though...beisdes most of the make up.

I have not seen the drectors cut or dvd version...i would like to though.

I liked it. Hate Cruise though, but it was interesting for a low budget 80's movie.

I'm not sure if $25 mil was "low-budget" for its time...Scott made BLADE RUNNER for about the same money, and ALIEN cost less than half that.

Mia Sara in leather witch outfit and goth make up = very hot

I wonder she if ever wore it for Ferris Bueller?

I came across this long site when I was looking for free tracks from the movie's original motion picture soundtrack. I only came across the directors cut soundtrack until someone here showed me this and now all I have to do is either order it or use the samples.

Legend is an incredible film, and I'll....yes, I'll eliminate anyone who says otherwise.

thx to the link below your post I can obviously see that all the cash didn't go to costume design

I just bought the Special Edition DVD of Legend, and I own a few figures of The Lord Of Darkness... SOCA Toys just released a 20 something inch version that is very rare and very cool, anyways I digress...it's a great movie with a great score and pretty cool visuals.

All my friends and many of my girlfriends liked it.
I did not because
1) Tom Cruise SUCKS. I can not watch him try to act.
2) The make up is revolting. I hate the art direction.
3) The Devil was pretty cool, but for some reason he was ruined for me when, at the end, it shows him in slow motion and his rubber horns start wiggling all over the place.
4) It's really pansy-ass Fairy World with floaties in the sky and syrupy lens filters.
I like grittier fantasy like Time Bandits, Dragon Slayer or LOTR.

^Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

I own the special edition. I really like the movie.

Special Edition is the only way to see it and hear it.

1. Personal taste.
2. Personal taste.
3. That ruined it for you?!
4. Personal taste.

So much for constructive criticism. ;)

If I'm not mistaken, a sequel is already in the works.

Is Froud still alive? Did he take it up or is someone else planning this?

I've seen a lot of Brian Froud's books and artwork..............the man seriously scares me.
