Lethal Weapon Reboot Series in the Works at WBTV and FOX

He probably just said the wrong thing or got into an argument with the wrong person and they ran to some executive. Id planned to eventually watch this, but now that's not going to happen.

He basically was the show. Getting rid of him is getting rid of the show. It sucks, incredibly.

No shade, but I'll be really curious to see the list of actors they pursued for this if this is where they ended up.

A lot of has beens and a lot of almost there types.

I see this show lasting for 1 more season.

I'm kinda impressed Burton released that statement.

Haha! Stifler! This is hilarious.

Yep, show's dead.

Also doesn't sound like Crawford did anything all that bad. Probably just a power play, yeah, he told the wrong person to **** off in a heated discussion or whatever.

Damn I havent seen him since American Reunion and his guest spot in It's Always Sunny.

I feel like his career kinda got the wind taken out of it's sails by Ryan Reynolds. Among other things like movie choices

Seann William Scott went to rehab back in 2011 for 'health and personal issues'.

I always got the vibe Scott had some personal issues in his life that effected his career.

I am not caught up on the latest episodes. I'm still a few behind. I didn't realise there was all this drama with Clayne Crawford being fired.

If Seann William Scott is meant to be his brother, where did he suddenly appear from, especially since this season has been so flashback heavy to his childhood and his abusive father?

And he doesn't even seem like Crawford at all in appearance. While brothers can look different, they cast well with Rex Linn as Riggs's father, whom you could completely believe was related to him.

I think the best thing, if they wanted to keep this going, would've been to find someone who was like a young Mel Gibson. That might've been more instantly acceptable than getting Scott. But what actor is there like that in both appearance and personality?

Clayne did the impossible and took this character from Mel Gibson. It was true and his own at the same time. His chemistry with every cast member was through the roof, and you couldn't take your attention off him any time he was on screen. I love the ensemble they have, but Clayne is the reason why someone like my wife could somehow have this as her favorite show on all of TV.

I'll give season 3 the same chance I give any new show (3 episodes), but I don't have any expectations at this point.

This feels like the sitcom Valerie, later known as the Hogan Family. Originally it was Valerie, but then they killed off Valerie Harper's main character because of pay disputes. They tried to continue without her afterwards and did so for a few seasons. But it was unprecedented at the time to kill off a lead character and with a show named after that character.

Clayne Crawford is a great actor. Watch Rectify.

This is the main reason I love Clayne Crawford.

As Mr. Quinn in Leverage

meh i don't know i'll give season 3, the same as i do with comics. 3 episodes and see if it hooks me

id rather they just have him play riggs all this its his long lost brother crap isnt needed. its kinda pointless to have a LW with the main character

Man, Clayne Crawford really embraced the Martin Riggs character including his anger issues!

Rule 1 of Hollywood : Never piss off anyone whose bigger on the food chain.

Can this show survive? Isn't it like Castle getting rid of Stana Katic and then hoping to carry on a season without her? That fortunately had the foresight to end the series instead of limping onwards with just Nathan Fillion.

It forced the finale of the show to be rushed.

Yes it did, but at least they didn't continue on without Stana. Castle wasn't really all that interesting on his own.

Looks like Lethal Weapon only got a 13-episode order from Fox, who don't want to get caught holding the bag on a retooling show that could easily bust should the changes not work.

Also, Wayans is airing the dirty laundry from the set on his now-private Twitter account. He really comes off as petty and diva-ish. Beginning to think that he's the one who leaked stuff previously and basically said it was either him or Crawford. Looks like his clout won out.

Hah, wow, Wayans is really sort of coming off like the bad guy here after-the-fact.

C'mon, Major Payne, you used to be cool.

I know, right? Crawford, who could easily be angry all over social media, has come off as humble and clear-headed while getting support from past co-stars attesting to his good character; Wayans has come out looking like a diva who is pissed off by all the fans supporting Crawford and is now airing all the dirty laundry to change their opinion but only makes himself look bad. He spent the better part of the weekend absolutely bashing Crawford and anyone who had given up on the show on Twitter before saying he'd been hacked and turned his account private before making it public again, which is where all these new allegations are coming from. Some of the stuff about women supposedly not liking Crawford and cast/crew being afraid of him seem to be bogus as many have tweeted out support:

:funny: Wayan's whining about his tiny boo boo. Wipe the blood off, pour some alcohol on it, and get back to work, ya pansy.

I actually kind of get the stuff over the stunts - what happened wasn't that bad, but you can see how it could have been worse. They have to have a handle on safety on sets.

If that was all there was, then fine. But the rest of it he comes off as such a tool.

There has to be more dirt to this. Because right now, it just seems like Wayans is being a primadonna. Yeah, safety is an issue, but I feel like a lot of actors on action-heavy shows get themselves banged up every now and then, and Deadpool 2 straight up killed a woman, so I mean...

If we're taking what we're seeing at face value, I almost feel like sending Wayans packing would've been the safer bet for the future of the show, just from the show he's putting on right now, while Crawford seems rather respectful about the whole thing. There are either some skeletons in Crawford's closet or he was pissing off the wrong people. Very curious.

Or the network thought that firing Crawford wouldnt carry the risk of racial backlash. If behind the scenes Wayan's is being a primadonna and was demanding that the studio fire Crawford imagine how Wayans might have reacted and what he might have done if the network chose to keep Crawford and fired Wayans. Or if they even told Wayans to suck it up and get along with Crawford. He may have started claiming it was racism or some sort of persecution. In this day and age firing a black celebrity comes with a high risk of a social media ****storm. Firing a big headed whiney black celebrity comes with an almost guaranteed social media ****storm. The execs had to have at least considered that.

The shorter season should help with the stunt safety.
They will have more time to plan and execute stunts.

Part of the reason there was so much pressure was because of the pace of how fast they filmed.

Most people who work in the television industry actually hate making 22 episode a season television.
