Lethal Weapon Reboot Series in the Works at WBTV and FOX

This is the main reason I love Clayne Crawford.

As Mr. Quinn in Leverage

This is why I was willing to give LW a chance, because of Clayne. Though he only popped up for a couple episodes in Leverage, I loved him as Quinn and his interactions with Eliot. I'm extremely disappointed that he's been let go from the show. I'll go ahead and give season 3 a chance, but I'm not holding my breath on it since my main reason for watching (Clayne - his portrayal of Riggs and how he interacts with the other characters while working through his issues) is no longer there.

Making him another Riggs sibling is a mistake. We just got one unknown half sibling. Another one or some brother he never ever once mentioned is too much of a stretch to accept.

A cousin at best but even that feels like a convolution of plot to keep the Riggs name going.

Hah, wow, Wayans is really sort of coming off like the bad guy here after-the-fact.

C'mon, Major Payne, you used to be cool.

How? he was silent for the past few weeks and only responded after so many fans seemed to blame him on Crawford's firing.

Or the network thought that firing Crawford wouldnt carry the risk of racial backlash. If behind the scenes Wayan's is being a primadonna and was demanding that the studio fire Crawford imagine how Wayans might have reacted and what he might have done if the network chose to keep Crawford and fired Wayans. Or if they even told Wayans to suck it up and get along with Crawford. He may have started claiming it was racism or some sort of persecution. In this day and age firing a black celebrity comes with a high risk of a social media ****storm. Firing a big headed whiney black celebrity comes with an almost guaranteed social media ****storm. The execs had to have at least considered that.

Or simply Wayans is a bigger star than Crawford. And studios err on the side of the bigger name.

Who cares if he's been silent until now? Crawford basically has too.

Wayans comes off as a real self-victimizing diva in the things he has said. Whereas Crawford comes off more "I wish it hadn't gone down this way, but I get it, I wish everyone the best" kinda thing.

sure he can come off that way since he just got FIRED. He clearly was in the wrong. He can't exactly go to TOWN lamblasting the series that made him semi-famous.

So it looks like all these accusations by Damon Wayans were half-truths.

More actors are coming out in support of Clayne Crawford.

Claims by the actress playing Bailey were refuted and she deleted her tweets.

An employee made an anonymous twitter account to talk about it https://***********/BTSinHollywood

They say the sticker of "emotional terrorist" is most likely false.

After reading that Twitter account, it sounds like this whole situation got out of control because the producers only cared about getting the show done and not how the stress of filming was affecting the cast and crew.

Read on the Hollywood Reporter that Karl Urban was someone they had in mind to take Crawford's place.

So he's...being polite & classy because he was fired? And Wayan's going full-on Mariah Carey after he got his way? :whatever: Yeah, makes sense chief.

Darkshadow, that's pretty interesting. That's quite a few staff backing Clayne at this point.

Surprised they tried going for him, but not surprised that he wouldn't have gone for it. He's already attached to The Boys' series on Amazon, so his plate will already be full with a series.

This whole thing reeks of BS from Wayans and some others on the show that wanted to get Crawford out.

This is why I dislike jumping to conclusions on when someone is accused of something. First it was definitely Crawford's fault, then it was maybe exaggerated and Wayans was exaggerating. Now there are people coming out of the woodwork to say Crawford was not the mysognistic terrorist ******* Wayans and others were trying to pass him off as.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle but there is no telling for sure how much was Crawford and how much was Wayans exaggerating the whole thing to his benefit.

Actually it does. A star that was fired isn't going to go full NUTS if they ever wanna get hired again. Clayne would be doing his best to clean up his image (even if Wayan's accusations were false, his name could be tainted among producers for being fired from a semi-hit tv series).

Def seems that way.

I feel like this applies on casting changes.

So Wayans was the only one who hated working with Crawford?

Wayans sounds like a delusional primmadonna while Crawford appears to have a hairtrigger temper, the only difference seems to be that Crawford was invested in the show and Wayans is just doing it for the paycheck.

This tweet from Wayans though;

In another May 14 tweet, Wayans wrote, “He hit another actor in the mouth with a bottle of green tea and busted his mouth open. Lance Henriksen a white man.”
What does Henriksen being white have to do with anything?

Eh.

On the plus side, it’s good to hear that Seann William Scott has a new gig. I doubt this show will last beyond the third season though.

Haha, yeah, assuming the stuff in that report is legit, they each come off as total manchildren.

Jeez, to think, the movies with Mel Gibson all came off as a pretty tight-knit pleasant working environment from what we know. :oldrazz:

An ageing Major Payne and a d*ckhead millennial with a man-bun are the ones causing things to spill out of control?
