His story kind of came to an end as well though. His ex wife decided not to marry her fiance, and got back together with Cole. They concluded it in a place where it could easily end there.

Yeah, I quit watching it months ago and was expecting this. They had a good thing going at first but then all that behind the scenes drama and chaos came out and derailed it with killing off Riggs.
