Okay. Pretty self-explanatory. Give me your dream actors for all the major villains you think should be in a Spider-Man film. In fact, if you feel like it, cast some villains you don't think should be in the series. Just for *****s and giggles.

Try to cover all the bases.

Mysteri/Quentin Beck - Bruce Campbell (Mysterio is cheesy, so who better than the King baby!)

Carnage/Cletus Kassidy - Mathew Lillard

Cletus Kasady/Carnage-I like Cillian Murphy, but that Rob Knepper sure seems to have the look, but can he pull of the insane Kasady?
Mysterio/Quentin Beck-Bruce Campbell (I agree, a nonmenacing guy like Mysterio has Campbell all over it)

Eh. Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Topher Grace and Thomas Haden Church aren't exactly obscure. I think it's good to pull well-known, highly regarded actors for villain roles. I don't see how he could be considered "too big for the role." I mean, 300 was his breakthrough preformance. That's the movie that allows him to do stuff like this. If it doesn't springboard him on to even bigger films, what DOES it springboard him onto?

Granted, I think that three comic book movies might be a little much for him (the other one being Watchmen).

I ask that some one help me out by casting some one for:

I bet if they ever decided to use the Vulture, they would do everything in their power to get Kingsley. I mean, who else could play him? It's like Patrick Stewart as Professor X. It's unanimous among fans! Plus, according to EW, Kingsley interviewed for the role in Spider-Man 3 before he was written out of the script in favor of Venom. So he'd pretty much be agiven.

In any case, here's my cast, and a lot of my choices WILL seem odd, and you WILL disagree strongly with some of them, I'm sure:

Chameleon - Robert Carlyle
Electro* - Ryan Gosling
Hobgoblin - John Malkovich
Kraven - Sean Bean
Morbius - Patrick Dempsey
Mysterio - Bruce Campbell (who else?)
Rhino - Triple H**
Scorpion - Stanley Tucci
Vulture - Ben Kingsley

*I'm also inclined to suggest Matt Dillon for Electro, but I think the fact that his name is so similar might be a distraction. I do think he could be a good choice for the character.

**I normally do not condone casting wrestlers, but I don't envision The Rhino being a too terribly demanding role, acting wise.

Note: I don't necessarily think that every character I listed should necessarily be in the series. For example, I think Morbius, Rhino, and Chameleon should all probably be left out.

Villains like Chameleon, Electro, Hobgoblin, Mystero, Rhino, Shocker, Vulture, I wouldn't like to see; don't know why, I just can't imagine a live-action Spidey movie with any of those villains...and that's why I'm glad Venom replaced Vulture in S-M 3.

Scorpion, however, would be a great villain because, for a B-level villain, his story surpasses villains like Shocker, Mysterio, Rhino, but his suit could be a hard thing to come by.

I agree with the few who have said it here. If he can be reigned in, Matthew Lillard would make the perfect Carnage. I'm not even a Carnage fan and I would be excited by that. His performance in Scream shows how dementedly amused with himself he can be.

Oded Fehr is a crappy actor... do people pick him for any reason other than his vague resemblance to Kraven? So many people lack imagination. It seems that, for Kraven, if they haven't seen the actor with Kraven-like facial hair, then they are incapable of pulling off the role. No one would have picked Gerard Butler before he did 300. People either cast based on looks alone or they're only interested in seeing actors doing the same crap they've already done. The only names anyone has thrown out there for Carnage are actors who have basically already played muderous psychopaths; as if an actor is incapable of doing something new. Wouldn't it be much more interesting to see a preformance we haven't seen before than basically seeing an actor transplant a preformance they've already done into a Spider-Man movie?

I could buy Dominic West as Kraven. Ali Larter could probably do Black Cat... but I don't know. She just doesn't seem right to me. To be honest, I haven't seen anyone that really seems... Black Cat to me. The only actresses who do the sort of work that suggest that they could do such a role... aren't very good actresses.

Electro - Matt Damon ( Bald, I see him as a dramatic Ultimate Electro )
Scorpion - Ryan Gosling ( Gives off M. Gargan's "pathetic" vibe )
Vulture - Richard Dreyfuss ( I want to see him as a villain... great actor )
