I have not read through this thread, or looked at the suggestions, I am just going to throw out the name Missy Peregrym.

She'll be too busy on her new Dick Wolfe show.

Looking at that list on the link Nina Dobrev would be a good choice imo. She looks like she could be related to Jenna Dewan with her ethnically ambiguous visage. I'm just not sure if I buy her as a top reporter. But she's not a bad actress like Lucy Hale who everyone keeps suggesting.

For some reason I can't copy the article on my iPad but That Hashtag Show have revealed the casting detail for Loid. They're looking for a Caucasian woman in her 30s and she will appear in the Flash and Supergirl episodes but not the Arrow episode.

I saw her suggested...somewhere. Not sure where now. While I’m lukewarm to the suggestion, I doubt the Timeless thing would make her unavailable. I mean that’s basically the equivalent of 2 TV episodes to work around. That’s nothing. It’s not like a blockbuster film shoot or anything.

That show is an anomaly for the CW. For a whole lot of reasons. That the Akils run it out of Atlanta, away from the Vancouver hub of Berlanti, also lets it get away with being more different, I think.

If you're referring to what I think you're talking about, then with all due respect I think you're wrong. Melissa Benoist has some highly explicit "home" photos and she's the star of one of their series. And all of these were their own private footage. It's not like they put it out there for people to see.

And it's not like the CW are Disney either. And even if they were, Disney are fine with Vanessa Hudgens who is in the same boat.

Vanessa Hudgens were underage pictures and true while they were private there is a big difference from pictures to sex videos.

It's not about what age Vanessa was (and I'm not sure if they were or not) but that Disney still allowed her to work for them. And CW aren't as strict as Disney. And it's not really about her anyway.

The CW are fine with Melissa Benoist being Supergirl. Whether these people made photos or videos, the point is that they were private and not a reflection of their acting ability or suitability for the role. What they do in their own time is their business. If someone then hacks them and puts it on the internet, it's not like they were doing it themselves for everyone to see.

How do we know that Melissa doesn't have home videos herself that haven't been seen yet? If they did appear, would that now make her unsuitable for Supergirl and should she be fired over that?

And Melissa has footage from shows like Homeland that could be considered unsuitable. These aren't home videos at all but for public viewing. The CW were still fine with hiring her.

There's nothing wrong with Abigail Spencer's suitability. She's not my first choice for the role at all, but your reasoning shouldn't rule her out.

I don't know why some folks seem to have an issue with an age difference tbh. If the moviegoing audience can consistently buy into Jennifer Lawrence being with guys 15 years her senior, I think TV can handle Tyler Hoechlin making out with a 40-year-old.
