Superman Returns Superman: morals, ethics, law

Clark can always say "you didnt ask" if Lois gets upset about it ;)

besides how silly is it really to be that initmate with someone and not know that he has a passing resemblance with a co-worker. thats probably one of the things that would certainly get mentioned during pillow talk.

anyway, i'm not gonna even think about it anymore. if Singer can pick and choose what he wants on someone else's movie then i can very damn well do the same with his.

well.....I'm assuming that the amnesia kiss DID NOT happen in SR.....

It's a parallel universe I guess. An elseworld of an elseworld?

perchance......we need to give ourselves our own "amnesia kisses".....so that we can erase from our minds the horrific images which SR has implanted into our minds.....

now....if only we could Lana to give us that amnesia kiss.....then all will be better.........wait........who am I?????? why am I typing this?????

No don't kiss me! *throws cellophane S at Super-bats*

don't worry......I'm not going to kiss you!!!! However, I wouldn't mind kissing Rosa Kato.......curse you wesy.......why must you taunt me everyday with her smile.............why???? Why???????

It felt kinda strange after watching SR. Jason is Superman's kid, but Lois doesn't have any recollection of sleeping with superman. this is because (as many of you know) the events at the end of Superman II where superman wiped her memory. wouldn't that count as rape? (sorta like a date rape drug that wipes peoples' memories, etc). what a bad way to depict superman. bryan singer....what have you done?

No way is it rape,Singer has no good explanation for the kid that has any repercussions in the film but rape would mean superman forced her to have sex which he clearly didn't,the reason he wiped her memory was to protect her

It really doesn't matter. We can debate what happened in Reeve's Superman I and II (because we have it on DVD or tape...it is there as it is)....but since Singer decided to say that SR is in a "vague" history with those movies (and he picked and chose what parts to incorporate into this film, and did not tell us which parts exactly he did draw from)....then we have no way of knowing what was supposedly done in the past in this movie's "timeline/universe"...so we can't make an accurate judgement.

And i would rate that as the movies joint biggest flaw IMO

wow, u guys really put out alot of interesting points on this thread. stuff i didn'tthink about when i started the thread. currentlyu, here's my view (similar to Singer's view): maybe superman only erased from her mind who he was, but left the memory of her sleeping with him, and maybe that memory got foggy due to the kiss.....what do u think?

I believe Singer confirmed that.

She rememebers they made love. Not that he was Clark.

OR......with the Vague history....maybe the "kiss" never happened, and they made love under different circumstances. We don't really know, b/c not much else was ever hinted at. Sure, we got hints.....but I don't think enough to constitute as an actual sequel.

I do feel bad for Supes....I mean, even him getting laid is a huge deal. ****ing rape, and no-consent **** comes up......****, the dude's the world's greatest hero....and he can't get some poon without some drama. Poor Superman.

Ah, well.....atleast Bruce Wayne can have a threesome with 2 euro supermodels and not get blamed for anything. Sweet.
