Loki LOKI General Discussion Thread

This looks absolutely bonkers and I loved it. Loki as DB Cooper is brilliant. Also, I’m sure I’m totally wrong here, but was that a glimpse of Black Widow at about the 2:04 mark in the trailer?

That's Sophia di Martino's character. She's one of the leads, blonde, rumoured to be one of the antagonists and a version of the Enchantress (not Amora though)

She's the mysterious figure in that cloak.

What if in this show they’re just combining the two characters and Amora/Enchantress is just the MCU’s version of Female Loki that comes about as a result of some time travel shenanigans? It’s not the first time they’ve amalgamated characters with other characters before (Whiplash, Hela, etc.)

What are the chances that the cloaked individual with the lantern and sitting in front of his network of screens is none other than Latveria's favorite ruler, Doom????

This scene intrigues me. It looks to be a young white haired(?) girl handing over something (a watch?) to Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius (or another clone, since all TVA upper management is clones). There's also the remarkable stained glass window in the back. The red devil instantly makes me think of Mephisto of course. Any thoughts on what could be happening?

I also wonder if we might see the TVA again in an episode of She-Hulk, since a lot of the TVA stuff seems to be taken from She-Hulk Vol. 2

The 3 cloaked figures are called like the Time Masters or something, they're pulled directly from comics

Aren't the Time Masters from DC's Legends of Tomorrow?

The TVA has only made 33 appearances in Marvel Comics according to this writeup that lists their appearances: Who Are Marvels Time Police - The TVA | Boooored.com

The white haired girl I am guessing is Enchantress and perhaps also Lady Loki if melded together.

The trailer for this was amazing. I love the way it seems to be blending sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and all with that quirky English humor. It’s very Terry Pratchett.
Yeah, I love the blend of genres. For some reason I wasn’t expecting a trailer for this one so it was a great surprise.

Some fans have dissected the trailer and along with the paparazzi photos from March discovered that the cloaked figure is actually Sophia di Martino's character.

Above link references cloaked figure watching monitors of Roxxcart (grocery store owned by Roxxon?) during TVA strike woth Loki having to work alongside them.

What is the likelihood that assuming characters aren't amalgamated together this isn't lady Loki but instead Sigyn or Enchantress?

The actress is wearing Loki's costume in set photo so probably Lady Loki. Karnilla of Nornheim I bet is the main villain not shown in the trailer this female hooded character is working for?

Nornheim on Asgard is an area that'll factor in somehow; perhaps the witches at odds with TVA?

The line between movies and tv shows are getting so blurry... I don't know yet if I hate it or if I love it.

I hope that's the goal. I look forward to the day when something with the production value of Endgame can be comfortably produced as a TV Show/Streaming Show.
I don't know Endgame levels but The Mandalorian is a huge, huge step into that direction. There are episodes that truly feel like action scenes from a theatrical release.

Hadn't been keeping up with the casting, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Owen Wilson pop up in the trailer.

I didn’t realise he was on either but he was instantly recognisable and hopefully does a great job. I’m glad film stars are being tempted by these shows too.

Wooah ok hold on, is this supposed to involve time travel?

Loki and Wandavision are making me go:

That means even more coming from a poster with your username. :hehe:

Agreed! I think she is Sylvie Lushton, the 2nd Enchantress. IMDB does not list the character names for the main characters of the show but the blond girl is listed as "Young Sylvie".

Echantress being She-Loki would be a dissapointment
Always wanted to see a real Enchantress, but after the Exceutioner died, I didn’t have high hopes (Thos - Ragnarok is still the best MCU movie, though)

Maybe they're not doing female Loki at all? Or maybe they're using the 2nd Enchantress specifically so they can do the original later down the line

Sophia being Sylvie is fine by me. Truth to be told, it's a character I didn't expect to see in the mcu (especially since Amora is more known and popular out of the two of them) but it's not an unwelcome addition.

In the comics Loki creates this Enchantress so there's certainly some comic history between those two.

Additionally, in the comics Sylvie copies Amora, in appearance and name, so who's to say she's not doing that in the show as well, but with Loki? Would certainly explain her blonde hair (which is something that strikes me as odd if she portrayed female Loki since Sophia is naturally dark haired but dyed her hair blonde for this specific role. Black hair is pretty much Loki's trademark so I kinda doubt they would do such a 180° turn with her appearance)

I mean, Di Martino could play both.

In the comics Loki becomes a woman by taking over a human host body meant for Sif after many Asgardians died in Ragnarok. A host body for Sif similar to what Donald Blake was for Thor. The Sylvie Lush version of Enchantress in the comics was created by this Lady Loki, so she's also connected to the character. I could see it happening that Sylvie Lush is Amora's new host body in the MCU (similar to Donald Blake and Sif's host). And I could also see them having Loki taking over that host body to become female Loki in the MCU.
