I saw this AG interview on another site and it said this:

"We are extremely psyched to introduce Oliver Queen on the show," Gough said. "The Green Arrow is one of the seminal figures in the DC Comics Universe. It will be exciting to explore this character over an arc of episodes rather than just one-and-out. "

Green Arrow won't be the only DC guest-star, Gough told The *********.

"Also, expect to see the return of Flash and Cyborg in the near future," he said.

I just wanted to see what everybody thought about this I think its great and I am really looking forward to season 6 it looks like alot of stuff is gonna go down plus this could be a really good storyline and bring good ratings on CW adding Green Arrow plus bringing back the other Dc characters from the past 2 seasons plus possibly another one or two other Dc characters coming this could be awesome plus it prob means a bigger villian could be who the "mastermind" is plus I read that James marsters might be kept as a fulltime cast member because the fans loved him so much plus jimmy olsen this season's gonna be huge

My opinion? I think they're keeping their options open. And by "they" I mean the Brothers Warner. Marvel has been VERY successful with their ensemble superhero X-Men films. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but DC's top tier ensemble - the Justice League - has yet to be adapted into a live action property. They've got the greatest group of superheroes ever (IMHO), and the best they've done with 'em so far are cartoons.

I'm hoping they finally woke up to smell the coffee.

how does the saying go? "the whole is worth more than the sum of its part?"

unfortunately here i believe the opposite is true...each part (the individual character) is worth more than the sum (all of them together).

I'm hoping this season we get to see our first pre-JLA fight with some major villain in Smallville.

How cool would that be. :O

That'd be awesome. But who would they fight? Zod? No, that ship will sail in the premier. Brainiac? Now that would be cool.

Your wrong. Although like Super friends it wasn't called JL. I'm not sure I remember the exact title. Something like gathering of heroes. But it featured Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin. Plus Green Lanturn, Flash, Hawkman, Captain Marvel, and others.

Not to mention the live action pilot from 1997, that was actually called Justice league.

my recollection is that it never aired.

Smallville's 'Justice League' will consist of:

Oliver Queen, Bart Allen, Clark and Cyborg ...

Hmm I like it. Its different. It's a pretty strong departure from the traditional league but its different enough to produce some interesting stories.

Then I would put out a hit on Gough and Millar.

Seriously, that would be really bad.

What if they bring back the Vengeance Angel too? :D

While I didn't mind her, they should leave made up characters out of it though.

They could fight Metallo or Bizarro though. That would rock!

The episode could be called "League" or something like that. :D

LOL!

Okay. I'm sure the equivalent in film camp today would give the X-Men franchise a run for its money. But hey, thanks for the correction. I never heard of that. :p

Kaboom, I dunno about the sum of its parts. My interest in a WW film is lower than seeing "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" (sad!) and my desire to see the current Superman film franchise continue as is, is on par with having my eyeballs plucked out with a hot poker. Seeing all these DC heroes get introduced and evolve on SV however, has me stoked. In a BIG way. But that's just me. :(

Thats one thing that was missing from season 5. They brought in two Kryptonians, Milton Fine, and a Superpowered Lex....

But no actual major fight sequences. Just some lame pushing back and forth.

I think it may be a budget issue if anything.

i was speaking from a purely fiscal standpoint.

Metallo and Bizzaro are also main villians in the new Superman video game too, which makes me think the features division has no plans to use them in the future; I dont think either could carry a film.

So maybe Smallville could get one of them.

I'm skeptical about Marsters continuing as Fine beyond the premiere. We should have known by now if hes contract was actually signed to be a recurring member of season 6.

My wife and I want to see My Super Ex-girlfriend, it looks funny.:( :O

I agree about the WW movie though, unless that lasso is used for other things, I don't see how the movie could be that interesting. Those other things though would make it where people under 17 couldn't see it, so I don't think they'd go that route. :O

Bizarro is one of my most wanted and requested characters to show up, especially since they have touched on the cloning thing several times in the show. Here's to hoping!

And yea, budget kinda squashes major fights. Clark smacking another guy with a tree was pretty cool.
You should have seen what the original script for "Arrival" had in store for the Kryptonian fight scene. Budget totally squashed what they had down in paper though.:(

I read it. Lois leading them into some airport base. It was okay.

Its funny how it went from that, to Clark just pushing them into the portal.

As far as Bizzaro goes, I dont think they should use the cloning route. Its been done and its way predictable. They should start it off as Bizzaro being a dark side within Clark, a Dr Jeckyll/Mr Hyde scenario similar to Peter Parker and the Black venom suit. That would be a fresh reinvention.

It could be a side effect of his time spent in the Phantom Zone, something TPTB were hinting at.

See. I don't get why "budget" has anything to do with the fighting on SV.
If anything, the setups for having people flying 50 yards from pushing each other would seem more expensive than a well choreographed fight b/w Clark and, say, Braniac. I understand having a fight in mid-air would require a lot of money. But why can't we ever see Clark throw a punch once in a while?

I too am tired of him simply tossing people 320 feet in the air.

That could work. And since there is no \S/ to reverse, they could reverse his colors, and that's how you tell the two apart, aside from the reverse talk. And they better have his reverse talk. :)
