Movie stars back then smoked a lot but they still looked normal and fit.
Key word there is looked because most of them died younger than they should have and often from illnesses related to smoking or their lifestyle in general.

Humphrey Bogart comes to mind.

Audrey could have potentially lived into her 80's or 90's without the smoking. It's never possible to definitely say someone would live longer but it would have increased her odds had she not been a chain smoker like that.

My grandfather has smoked since he was 12, he's in his late 70s now and has never had lung problems. It genetic as well.

I think it also has to do with how frequently you smoke too.

Yeah, everything's related to genetics. People's bodies react differently to different abuses. But you can never tell the real effect of something by when someone actually died. They might have lived to be the world's oldest person with a few differences in their habits and in that case 80-90 is still missing out a couple of decades of life (quite significant given most people's ages on the batboards :BA:cyclops:).

there's a comedian that had a skit

"the worlds oldest man was interviewed the other day, they asked him how he sustained such a long life and still stay sharp, he told them it was from his steady diet of Bacon fried in back fat, and a fifth of whiskey.

Now thats what he needed! If he would of gone to the doctor and they put him on a strict diet, he would of been ****in dead the next day." lol

Got out of work early on account of snow. Guess snow is actually good for something, lol

U.S. soldiers gave Audrey her first cigarette as a child (they didn't know any better). Also, chocolate.

Her real-life love of chocolate carried over to My Fair Lady.

Man rough day at work today, gonna have to stay an extra hour to hit bonus probably. Ugh

He sells evil... telemarkets sells evil to people over the phone.

My dad actually got stuck at work because of all this snow lol.

That reminds me of something similar.

A young woman is walking down the street when she sees a wizened and deeply wrinkled old man sitting on his front porch, she walks up and asks him what his daily routine is.

He says ' I sleep til noon every day, I wake up down a shot of whiskey and a pack of smokes while I cook breakfast, five eggs, a huge plate of bacon and another shot of whiskey, I eat a huge plateful of deep fried food for lunch while smoking another pack or two and maybe a good cigar after then for dinner I have a big rare steak with fried eggs and another shot of whiskey and I finish off the bottle before bed with a few cigars.'

She just stares at him and says 'is that how you got to be so old doing that every day?' He squints at her and stands up and says 'Old? I'm Thirty two!'

Well they asked me to come back tomorrow for a "final interview" so they must've liked me or whatever, which is nice. I'll be filming a test commercial as an audition tomorrow, which'll be the first time I've ever been properly filmed. Hopefully they understand my current financial situation and decide to work with me on that. All in all, feeling pretty good right about now

And no, Kev, there's no fluffing involved :o

:woot:

Good luck, man! Tells us the news after! :bd

Sup all...I hate that i had to break down my avi to make it smaller. :( Does anyone wanna see the full version?

For a second there I thought DS had changed his name. It's funny how we tend to recognize each other by avatar.
