I have a massive audiobook backlog to get through.

I forgot just how demanding Star Wars fans can be until I saw some of the reactions to The Rise of Skywalker. Not going to spoil anything (I liked it, flawed as it may be) but some of the comments on how it was handled... I cannot go back into any forums where it is being discussed because of the vitriol some people have.

Been to three wildly different sites and it is sad to see people trashing the franchise on every one of them. This movie was never going to satisfy everyone but so many people keep looking for problems...

I've got the audio book version that is read by Cary Elwes. Its great!

I skimmed it before I had to put it in the box and wrap it up, and it was kinda interesting and made me wish I had time to read it :funny:

Like how Wallace Shawn (whom Elwes calls "Wally") was so paranoid Reiner was gonna fire him, partly because he was the third choice for Vizzini after Danny DeVito and Richard Dreyfuss turned it down, how Shawn was terrified of heights and hated climbing even the short mock-up of the Cliffs of Insanity, and how his whole convoluted monologue about which cup to pick was his first day of shooting and he was terrified of messing up his lines. Reiner claims he never thought about firing him.

I started to watch it last night....got through around 15 minutes before I turned it off. I have around 10 different versions on DVD....and this is one I will pass on.

I gave up after a hour, this one was a bit too dark

Maybe a behind-the-scenes team including Steven Knight, Ridley Scott, and Tom Hardy isn't the best recipe for a heartwarming Christmas fable.

I finally ran my last Christmas shopping errand today. Cary Elwes' Princess Bride memoirs seemed a little lacking just in a box by itself, so I threw in a box of mixed chocolate and a gift card to Texas Roadhouse to sweeten the pot.

I've got a back library. I've got 908 audiobooks in my collection. I'm fairly certain Audible will cease to exist before I manage to finish all of them.

So FXs Christmas Carol took considerable liberties. :( An ugly story made even crueler.

The best christmas present.

I recommend that Twitter account for any pet owners.

I have Transformers the Last Knight on in the background over here while doing some holiday stuff at my parents' place and there is no goddamn reason that movie needed to be close to three hours long.

Just saw someone driving a pick up truck with a fully lighted x-mas tree in the truck bed

My co-worker did that with his truck. :p

I'm wrapping presents with my crime shows on.

You sure youre not watching Age of Extinction? Its runtime is 165 minutes. Last Knight is only 149 minutes.
