Little does the witcher thread know cause they cry all the time... Jaskier is Polish for Buttercup or Dandelion something like that.... whom Roose and I had Norm MacDonald as just to **** with people.

knowing nothing about the show or the games, would Witcher be confusing for someone coming to it completely new? i'm going to start traveling for work again next month and am considering renewing my Netflix just to watch it.

I had no knowledge about either the books or the games and still found it good. I won't spoil anything but it is at first a little confusing but it is all sorted out by the season finale. In fact I am thinking of watching it again which is rare for me. Usually I wait a few years to rewatch a show.

I was at EB Games today to pick up my latest order of plastic garbage to litter my apartment with, and I saw a gigantic Funko Pop of Michael Jordan. It was like $50. There was also one of Spyro the Dragon.

There's something off-putting about a Funko's dead, soulless eyes when they're the size of a toddler.

Aside from some messy timeline shenanigans, it’s a pretty easy watch, imo. No previous knowledge necessary.

yea not real sure what they were trying with the 3 timelines without saying like '20 years later' or something ... it was really weirdly done but in the end works especially with a timeline explanation to go with it... im on my second watch now its not that it was confusing i guess... it was just weird lol

@Perfect Cell @Roose Bolton

Picard... Not even finished but... Wow.

They didn't forget ANYTHING. So far each time I thought "Okay... But what about X or Y or Z?" they've provided a TNG ref. that lines up and makes sense. Got six minutes left but... I feel good about where this will go.

....I’m going to get myself a nice scotch and make an evening of this.
Just... Try not to be upset at how aged PatStew is.

I mean that. I see people saying how he looks even younger now than 2 years ago... Poppycock! He... He's looking his age. No joke... They go running up stairs at one point and I'm pretty sure there was a stunt double for that. Walking upstairs.

I don't have the streaming service Picard airs on in Canada, so I have to wait for it to air on traditional TV. That's in an hour and 19 minutes. Soon... soon.

After Logan I’ve come to terms with the fact that he no longer has eternal youth.... It’ll be everyone else that’ll require an adjustment period.

Well Johnny Depp is way younger than Patrick Stewart, and he had his head really obviously CGI'ed onto a stunt double's body for a moment in Public Enemies where he......hops over the short railing at a bank. And that was in 2009, back when Depp still looked immortal before all his decades and all his alcoholism slammed into him at once.

Picard tugged on my nostalgia-coated heart strings like a goddamn infarction.

You can't just briefly show a glory shot of the Enterprise D, and then rip it away. How dare you.

The 25th century is going to hit like a truck, and I'm into it.

They ****ing name checked Bruce Maddox! And yes... Seeing the ole' Galaxy Class was just the balm my heart needs. Right now the ONLY thing I was disappointed in was the oversight of not referencing Data's "Original" daughter or Dr. Soong's sweetheart that turned out to be pretty much EXACTLY what the Synthetic twins were in Picard.

My buddy Ed says it's like some kind of alchemy. It is basically a direct dequel to a failed movie that works.

It's a direct sequel to two movies that were released 7 years apart with entirely different casts, and a decade has passed on top of that. It's insanity. None of this is real. We're all plugged into batteries. Wait, no... we are the batteries. I don't remember much about The Matrix.

Yes... But you say so many things.

Especially against the Dutch.
Let me tell you something you probably already know.... The world isn't made of sunshine and rainbows... it's made of THE DUTCH LEADING THE SNAILS.

SPOILER! The Dutch are behind it all. I need my army and I need it now.

I thought you were going to use the Starship Troopers theme. I'm sad that you didn't.
