for 20 years my shift was 9:45 pm to 6:30 am lol

Perfect shift for me would be like 12 or 1 pm till 8 or 9. That way I could stay up late and then sleep in till 10 or 11 and still get to work on time (assuming I had a car). I love my job but getting up at 6:30 am every day sucks.

My store manager has no clue what she's doing.

She wanted to do something special for her first big sale since she's started running this store. She decided to have the store open tonight until 10pm instead of the usual 9pm.

The problem is that she never told any employees that were closing that night, updated the schedule to reflect the new hours or had mentioned anywhere at all on any of the promotional materials (signs, handouts or flyers) that there was later hours for that sale. I found out my new hours on Wednesday night and one of the others only found out on facebook the night before.

So after 9pm there was maybe 1-2 people who bought maybe $20 worth of stuff each.

Yay.
