Rise is so much more fun when you've seen all the other movies and you can watch it again and again to spot the little references. I'm really hoping for some more nice references from Dawn.

That's how I feel about the James Bond franchise now. It's fun catching references and the references in Skyfall were awesome.

You should pick up the first series. The second one kinda makes no sense, but it's still fun.

I just find that there's still lots to enjoy about Apes as the films grow older, where as Bond hasn't aged that well resulting in less to enjoy with each passing year.
